Economy Guide [002] How to get started

In this series of articles I'd like to share some insights in the world of business in eRepublik. I will mostly focus on eUS citizens and producing in eUS regions


In this article I would like to discuss some ways to get a starting capital or seed money (whatever is the more commonly used term, idk...).


1. The easy way

Spending RL money. For a 9.90€ Pack, you can get 160.000cc atm.
At the current exchange rate, this is ~370 Gold as of writing this, so enough to buy 37 Q1 Food Companies over the next 36 days. This will generate you an income of around 600cc daily.

However, when selling such packs, insist on receiving the cc first to avoid getting scammed. If the buyer doesn't agree, there are still a whole lot of other buyers willing to pay you as much.


2. Earn CC at eRepublik-Deutschland

Erepublik-Deutschland offers a way to earn CC by taking part in surveys, downloading software, making game accounts, taking part in giveaways etc.

You can earn a lot with it over time and as I heard, after excessive cc-earning, you can be in the 100k area.

When downloading software however, make sure you don't use a PC/Smartphone with too many important programs/files on it since there is oftenly malware in this software (at least it used to be, a few years ago, when I last did such kind of ingame-currency-earning in some game) and you might need to format and setup your PC new.


3. Small Bits and Pieces.

This is how I got the money to start my busines (or busineses back then, in late v1/early v2 times...). Just start off by acting thrifty and take any opportunity to earn money and gold. I make a brief list of such opportunities here. If I forgot one, feel free to mention it in the comments.



3.1 Government Programs

eUSA has the AARP where any eUS ciitizen can apply for food supplies.
(I don't know how much. If someone knows it, comment it down below pls)
If you are not an eUS citizen, read your nation's Shout Feed and ask other people if a government program exists.

For eUS citizens it makes fighting a lot cheaper, maybe even virtually free without weapons.


3.2 Invite Friends

If you know someone from your School/University/Workplace who could to be into this game, show it to them and tell them to use your refer link which you can find on left below your missions and your cc and gold balance.

You get 10% of every Gold they purchase or earn*.
*(IIRC, only Gold earned from Medals, Level-Ups count)


3.3 Missions

The game offers various ways to provide, especially new players with substantial amounts of cc and gold by completing various tasks.

Some of the beginner missions could be profitable. As an old citizen I am not really up-to-date on this and a brief google search hasn't shown me anything good to link. Again, if someone knows about this, pls post it in the comments.


3.4 Medals

True Patriot, Mercenary and Freedom Fighter Medals give you 1000cc, Sky heroes give you 30 Gold, BHs 2,3,4,5 for Division 1,2,3,4 and all others give you 5 Gold.

- True Patriot medals are only viable if you have high strength. Then you can also try to go for the BHs.

- Freedom Fighter Medals are pretty much viable, even if you have low strength. You can try to improve your profitability by using Q3 Weapons. Travel costs can however eat your profits, so if possible make sure to travel to multiple fights before travelling home to your residence. Also try to pick fights near your residence location. While doing this, you can also gain mercenary Medal progress.

- Hard Worker Medals are a nice addition to your daily paychecks.

- BHs are viable if you have high strength for your division or got some stuff from Plato during an event etc.

- Resistance Hero is a gamble. If you however have good information on save wins, it can earn you some extra bucks.

- Super Soldiers can be earned by training as much as possible. You should also think about upgrading your free training facility to increase your Gold gain.


3.5 Level-Ups

Level-Ups, at higher levels, give you 1 Gold per Level. For lower levels, the reward is higher iirc. For reaching Level 100, 200, 300, 400, you will get some extra e-lifelong perks that are really useful. For level 500+, it gets boring but also profitable. Since I personally value an energy bar = 1 Gold, each level from 400-500 gave me 11 Gold. From 500-600 it will be 13 Gold and so on.


3.6 Media

You can write articles and be endorsed by people wanting to either put their names on them or show some support for your work. You can earn a few hundred, up to a few thousand per article, depending on your country/language and how good your articles are. My last article, when I didnt miscount, brought me 3535cc. All CC you endorse on my articles will be contributed towards building my evil lair from which I will take over the eWorld.


3.7 Air Battles

New players can't compete in ground battles in terms of strength. In air battles, this is no problem, everyone has the same strength there. Only your Air Rank and the Level 100 Damage Bonus (+10😵 will make a difference. The more you fight, the higher your damage gets. At times you can earn money there with Combat Orders or..

...with a decent strength, a good, full health pool, maybe a level-up comming and Energy bars available you can win a Sky Hero Medal and 30 Gold.

But never use Weapons. Q1 Aircraft Weapons are twice to thrice as expensive as Energy Bars for the same damage. Air Bazookas (AIM-92 Stinger?) however are great, doing 1000 (1100 with Level 100) damage per hit. They are however only available during events and will expire.




3.8 Q1 Houses



Active Houses, each Q of them, give you one overtime point per hour and with 24 you can work one more time. So one extra salary per day per house.

A Q1 House atm. costs 1625cc (it will get more expensive soon though, make sure to tank some houses up). The best net salary available atm. in the eUS is 363.6cc. Depending on your Residence, the durability is somewhere between 7.07 Days and 8.4 Days and the tax for activating them between 5% (81.25cc) and 1% (16.25cc).

Worst Case Scenario: You pay 1706cc and get 2570cc back. (+122cc per day)
Best Case Scenario: You pay 1641cc and get 3054cc back. (+168cc per day)
