DMV4POTUS: Charity Begins at Home, Justice Begins Next Door

In my last article I brought you my Foreign Policy agenda, and my ideas for changes to the way we wage wars. This article will focus on my Domestic Agenda, and how we will rebuild our community.

Domestic Agenda

Communications:

The Department of Communications will be replacing Media in the Cabinet. The Department will include Media and will be adding direct communications as a sub department. Direct communications will utilize a shout team that will put important information literally everywhere, and a Mass Mailing team that will be sending out PMs to player whenever the need arises (i.e. ATO, or directing critical damage during an invasion or other important battles.) the mass mailing team will be used sparingly as to not inconvenience citizens except in times of national need. The Mass Mailing team will also PM new citizens on behalf of the Department of Education and Community Development to ensure new players have the tools to succeed and get active.


Immigration:

I know the President is not technically responsible for immigration, but they can do a lot to influence it. That is why my first act in office will be to push immigration reform through Congress. If the past has taught us nothing it is that immigration can be a double edged sword, we're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't. My proposal to Congress would be a program that focuses entirely on assimilation and naturalization as criteria for admittance into the eUS. I will push for specific guidelines for admittance: the ability to understand and communicate in English, they must come from either an English speaking country, or a country that has been wiped for an extended period of time. This ensures that they will have greater incentive to join our community, first by being able to actually understand what is going, communicate effectively with others, and in the case of those coming from a nation that is wiped usually a desire to be around other active people (most wiped nations have a harder time maintaining a community without an actual nation to sustain them).

Education/Interior:

The Department of Education under a McVicker Administration will be launching a new program that supplies interested Military Units with curriculum and teaching materials to help new players adjust to an ever changing game. Military Units that participate in this program will be given additional funds for supplying new players, and will have their military unit suggested to to new players as a recommended military unit. The first Military Unit I plan to include in this program will be Airforce, as it is the primary Division 1 and 2 unit of the USAF. I will also be diverting funding into Airforce to make sure our Division 1 and 2 fighter receive quality weapons and food to help them rank up at a faster rate.

As most of you know I launched the Damage, Mentorship and Vitality Program earlier this month to help supply Division one and two player with Q7 weapons, food, mentorship, and help upgrading their town centers. The program has become very popular and will continue as a private welfare program regardless of the results of the next election. If elected I will divert Interior activities away from welfare and towards activities such as holding contests, hosting games, and generally keeping the citizens entertained and informed.

Internships:

Under my administration I will be allowing players without experience in government a chance to help out in the Executive and see the inner working of the Executive Branch. Interested parties should fill out the Internship Application.
