Dear Oblige

Day 2,115, 18:08 Published in USA USA by Melissa Rose

It's a well know fact (because I don't hide it) that I actually like you. That fact has hurt me some but I never worried about it, because I am the type of person that is honest with what I think about people. So I'm going to be completely honest with you. After watching you over the last week, reading your answers in the WHPR and listening to the debate, you seem burnt and a bit disinterested.

Your answers in the WHPR came off as half hearted, as if you didn’t care for, or take the time to fully address the questions being asked. In the debate your attention was elsewhere and you seemed distant and not fully engaged.

I have serious concern that this upcoming month will equate to your Cabinet running the eUS for you. You come off as not wanting to work for it. As if it is owed to you and something that you deserve to have. You seem to believe that the people of the eUS should just give it to you because you are "Oblige".

You've done this before, and you've burnt out before.

I've defended you for the last month, to people critical of you, because I thought you were doing an okay job. While that opinion has cost me, it doesn't change the fact that it is true. But, if you win, I am worried about your next term. I wonder if you truly want this job to benefit the eUS or just because you can.

Truth is you don't seem to actually care about the country other than what it can do for you.

The entire reason I haven’t publicly supported anyone in this race is because I am a part of the WHPR staff and I didn't believe that it was appropriate to support any one candidate. I felt it would reflect poorly on the SecMed and I just didn't want to do that, but I doubt I will have a job after publishing this so I'm just going to be blunt.

You need to quit while you’re ahead. You hurt the country when you remain in office after you get burnt. Your seemingly disinterested attitude bleeds out into everything you do. You don't "deserve" this, it is not owed to you. You have to earn it and while you have done an okay job over the past month your attitude has hurt you.

I sincerely hope I am wrong in my assessment, but I don't believe I am.
