Damhnaic for eIreland, Damhnaic for CP!

Day 1,986, 09:47 Published in Ireland Ireland by Damhnaic

To my very dearest friends, to my comrades of Ireland, I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

This is the official launch for my Taoiseach Candidacy Campaign.

First of all, I would like to thank the Independent Voices party for their support to my candidacy and all the friends that helping me build a team and supported me in the last few weeks.

My candidacy will revolve around three articles:
1. Presentation, Cabinet, and various considerations
2. New Citizens & Community
3. War & Foreign Affairs

Who am I?

Many of you know me, either be in good or in bad. I've been around since 2009, not always very active, but still I've seen Ireland at war, I've seen her occupied, I've seen her occupying others, I've seen eIrish regions in eUS, in eCanada and in eUK, but the worst of all; I've seen eIreland at war with herself. In the past months, eIreland was characterized by internal conflict often called civil war.

About my political involvement over the years: I've been numerous times an ambassador , thrice Ministry of Community (serving under Ronisu, Brean&Teddy, and Brian Boru), once Vice President (Bean&Teddy) and twice Congressman (I haven't run since autumn because of studies).

Over time, I feel my real involvement was in the community, where I published many thoughtful articles and numerous political satires which I hoped would make people realize the futility of their political quarrels.

Why have I decided to run as CP?

I may not be the most popular or liked individual in eIreland, but I think I have the required abilities to run the country. In the past weeks, you might have read a few of my articles about my views on such things as democracy and discussion, both are subjects I deeply appreciate. It is a thing I want to try, to improve the discussion in the country, something I think we are severely lacking, as we can see in the numerous tensions that afflicted us in the past. Thus, I hope to present myself as the candidate of discussion, something I'll try to elaborate in my future articles which will include more detailed plans.

Cabinet:

Department of Defence

Seanan

Seanan would continue to do his great job as MoD, he has already proven his worth and I deeply respect and trust him in this task.

Department of Finance

Appleman

Appleman is very qualified for the task, and he will be able to continue all the work he invested in attempt to solve the treasury problems we had since the thefts.

Department of Foreign Affairs

Minister: Ian E Coleman
Advisor: Ethel Rosenberg
Ambassador program: Raven Anarcho

This is a new task for Ian, but I have confidence he'll do it with brio. He'll be advised in his new appointment by an old friend of Ireland, Ethel Rosenberg, who be able to help him out with her past experience as eIrish MoFA. Furthermore, Raven Anarcho will pursue his work with the ambassador program.

Department of Immigration

Committee:
Gerald Smyth
Paddy O’Brian

I believe these two are very well suited to form a very balanced and trusted Immigration Committee. They have been laying around long enough to know our old friends and our old enemies, and they have enough judgment to know who to let in or not. Moreover, I feel they are respected and trusted enough citizens for the task.

Edit: Sadly, Nogin the Nog won't be availble to help during next term.

Department of Community

Damhnaic

This is a bit tricky, isn't it? I messaged about 10 person for the job, but it seem no one is available. Since I have a fairly good experience in the job, and it doesn't ask much work, I would be a CP of Community, trying to promote active community trough my involvement as CP.

Department of New Citizens

Irasian

Irasian will pursue his very good work with the BootCamp and new citizens, he might have some help from other cabinet members in his various tasks. Furthermore, I'll take care myself of a New Citizen involvement promotion program (that I'll further explain in my second article).

I am very enthusiastic at the idea of working with every one of them, I approached them because I think they are within the most qualified in their domain and because I value their views and opinions. We have been in contact for the last weeks and I really appreciated the discussion we had, each of them bringing a thoughtful viewpoint. I decided to omit Vice President, as it is a totally useless cabinet position that only serves the glorification of a friend.

I have the sentiment that we form very good and balanced team and that, if you choose us as the next country Cabinet, we will do our best for the country.

For a more livable and enjoyable eIreland,

Yours sincerely,
