On children's day last year, my class teacher decided to distribute pieces of a big Dairy Milk equally among us 18 students. (We have many many more students like a typical Indian school class room, but it was children's day remember)
Now this was a very different dairy milk chocolate. Instead of the usual one where you have two columns of small square pieces of chocolate, this one was a 6 by 6 square block of small choocolate pieces. We could have got two square pieces each easily as there were 36 pieces in all in the chocolate grid, but, fussy as we all were that day we decided we would take our 2 pieces only if they were joined together(thats only possible if you take any two pieces which are adjacent horizontally or vertically in the 6 by 6 grid). Our teacher almost started to break the grid into 18 smaller 2 block pieces when I (who was extra grumpy that day) decided I would take my two pieces only if they were from diagonally opposite corners.
Obviously, now all our teacher had to do was break out my 2 pieces off diagonally opposite corners and divide the remaining 34 piece grid into 17 smaller 1 by 2 grids.
Could she divide it that way?
There are two parts to this question. First, is the division possible. Second, how?

ohh i go nuts after i tried the division....but how can this be 6X6?...this has to be 6X2 then only its possible...lol
