CP Run - October

The title pretty much says it all. This October I am planning to run for CP of Canada! I am personally very excited about this because it is one of the few things I have not yet done in the game.

It might be a little early to start a Campaign with elections 3 weeks away, which is why I am going to be releasing my platform in stages throughout the next couple of weeks.

My platform announcements will include:
Cabinet announcements
Military and Economics
Education/New player retention
Government Communication

My platform is largely going to be 3-tiered.

Tier #1
Military advancement
Canada has recently been on the war path. With our victories in Japan and now our war against eUK in Ireland we will have a fair bit of fighting ahead to look forward to. I personally am happy to Canada on the offensive yet again. This does wonderful things for our morale and economy. Continuing or starting a war will be among my largest priorities if elected to office. And yes, you'll be able to kill something other than redcoats.

Tier #2
Government Communication
I am a true believer in Government Communication. It's always nice to know what is going on with not only your tax dollars but your country's reputation. This is why I will be having a Ministry of Communication. At least every other day an article will be released via my personal paper or the Ministry of Communication. I consider keeping anyone interested informed about not only what your government is doing but how we are doing. That being said communication is a two-way street. As always by inbox will be open to anyone who has a concern or question. Those of you who have served under me in the CAF or who have dealt with me on occasion know that I do not steer away from direct questions and I'm more than happy to satisfy curiosity as long as it doesn't endanger an overall goal.

Tier #3
Reliability and Action
This comes as more of a personal promise. If elected I will be here every day. I will be listening to my advisers and to the other branches of Government. Most importantly I will be listening to you. But listening and doing are two very different things. This is why I will be acting in some way on everything that is brought to my attention. I am not the type of person who lets anything just be brushed aside and that's not going to change anytime soon.

Canada needs to continue to have strong leaders at the helm. I believe that I am able to fill that billet. It is my hope that come election day you will too!

Will you be receiving funding during your term? How will you be dealing with militia funding? Also, do you like funding?

I rarely receive funding as it is now. That said I will not be by the start of the presidential term, elected or not. I plan on being completely self sufficient by then 😛. Militia funding will be dealt with in a similar manner as it is now, I will have more details on how I plan to do it after i consult with my MoF on the issue. Finally I like funding very much. Aside from MPP's and the odd social program that is where as much of the budget to be focused.

well PDP, it's obvious that myself and the majority of the CAF will vote for you. Now u just need to convince a few members of COI and those Crimson guys to vote for u, and this will be a sure thing.

BTW it seems that all early CP campaigns fizzle out way before the election,

A budget is put forth by the CP and MoF and is then either approved or not approved by congress. At least that's the way I know it is/was done...and is the way I plan on doing it.
