Join the new world

A bit of a change from my political opinion piece as I am standing for congress under The Unity Party. Hopefully I can persuade you to support me come the 25th.



Background



Though short at least myCV isn't this bad!

Though I only joined eRepublik this month I have made reasonable progress. Joining the Legion military unit and The Unity Party has given me contacts in the community that has allowed me to stand for Congress at a young age.

I have become involved in the media portion of the game, releasing what I aim to make a weekly political opinion piece and it has received some interesting discussion in the comments.

Finally, even though the games military module is clearly slanted towards stronger players I managed to pick up a Battle Hero medal, showing my determination to make the most out of my abilities.



Aims, Policies and Party



Where I hope to be come the 26th.

I'm going to split this up into all the things a congress member can do, my stance on it, and how my party helps in regard to this.

Citizenship passes - Fortunately in TUP we are graced with experianced players including former Presidents and Ministers of Foreign Affairs. This means I need only consult them to use my passes wisely. My policy will be to try and use mine up, after all, the more people in this country the better. However, I will consult with senior party members to make sure only trust-worthy citizens are accepted.

Taxes - I believe they should be kept as they are for now. The economy module as a whole looks to be broken and maintaining the status quo seems the most sensible action for the moment.

Natural Enemy - Clearly having a natural enemy is important as the extra influence will be much appreciated in gaining valuable True Patriot achievements. However we need to maximise the gains by timing this to coincide with missions. I will support the implementation of a training war with Belgium when missions are available.

Alliances - With the lacks of domestic battles and in some cases even allied battles I will support the signing of as many MPP's as financially prudent. It is very important that our citizens can complete daily orders in a timely fashion and to never be without a battle to gain experience and rank points.



Summary

- I am a young player that can hopefully offer a different perspective on issues than other players.

- I support maximising the ability of each citizen to gain experience, rank and true patriot points through prudent use of MPP's and the natural enemy function.

- I have experienced and dedicated party members behind me to support and offer advice.
