August Congressional Elections are announced

Apologies - I made a typo in my initial results table which added ONE vote to PSP and deducted one from WRP. I have now corrected this - thank you to Keith for highlighting the error

This has been a particularly good result for WRP with an increase of TWO seats in Congress.

Goats added a single seat to increase their total seats to FIVE.

UKRP have demonstrated characteristic resilience by retaining EIGHT seats - no change from last month.

TUP lost TWO seats, which makes them. the largest losers, whilst retaining their status as the party with largest Congressional presence.

UKRP effectively lost a seat as they only got 8 because they did not have enough candidates. They should have got 9.

Also your figures are wrong the WRP got 6 seats and the pirates got 5

TUP -2
UKRP+Vacant -1
WRP +2
Goats +1
Pirates the same

In terms of votes the TUP lost 1 vote and so did the UKRP
The big winners are clearly the WRP who got 3 more votes and the Goats got an extra 2 votes
There were 3 more voters in this election

The voting was very close and an extra vote for the TUP or the Goats would have taken one seat from the WRP
