Dear new user, My name is John, and I will be your guide for today. I want to tell you alittle about what Erepublik is.
Erepublik is political simulator based in 'the New World'. Luckily, you don't have to be a politican to make a career here, you can also be a soldier, worker, company owner, media guru and economist. Of course, you can be all these at once aswell.
Erepublik offers a second life for the citizens of the New World and while it can take a lot of time for an active player it's meant to be a game for those that don't have a lot of time to spend, but rather only log on once a day to work in a company and train their strength. If you decide to make an in-depth career, the game offers a lot of options and a lot of fun, many thanks to the community.
Make sure that you sign up to http://egermany.itg-em.de - and if you have an IRC client you can stop by our channel #erepublik on the server [url=irc://irc.littleproject.de/erepublik]irc.littleproject.de[/url]. (You can find a guide for IRC here). A lot of time that you spend as a citizen of the New World is being active and participate in the different discussions brought up by the members of the community. I also strongly suggest you read the newbeginners guide written by hansg. It is a very extensive guide that should explain all your questions.
In Germany, or eGermany as it's called in the New World, the official language spoken and written is german and english, which should explain why you will find a lot of the news articles and community in english.
If there is anything else you want to ask me, you should contact the Organisation Account called "Integration Navigator Germany". It's an organisation that applies you a mentor that will help you in your everyday life. If you contact us, we will also give you another 5 DEM to survive the first few harsh days that you will have in the New World.
