On the last tank against Manitoba, the battle hero for the US did 7k damage while the Hungarian battle hero did 21k damage. The Hungarians won, but needed significant tanking to defeat a United States working mostly with its militia forces (non-military citizens). The Hungarians can't indefinitely keep provinces in the United States and Canada because of this, long term. It is simply cost Hungary that much more to defend the Territories then it cost the United States to assault them.

In addition, the United States can attack North America Hungary--from now on referred to as NAH--repeatedly, and with total immunity from retribution. Hungary can not attack either the US or Canada without activating their MPPs. So, eventually, Hungary will loose its North American possesions.

The United States doesn't join Eden, because we have learned that super alliances are not in eAmerica's best interests. George Washington warned us not to engage in foreign entanglements. That warning may, or may not be obsolete in the modern world; however, it still holds true in erepublik.

Super alliances like Atlantis, PEACE, and eventually EDEN, outgrow common sense. They then turn aggressive, and imperialistic. This leads to imperial overreach, then collapse, leaving member nations surrounded by enemies; further, they now lack the support system they used to rely on to defend against such enemies.

The United States will always look to her allies as close friends. She will always recognize the great help and sacrifices countries like Canada, Romania, Switzerland, North Korea, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Croatia, Greece, Spain, Bosnia, and so many others made to secure American independence. And, there isn't anything we would be willing to do to defend you from harm. But the United States, can not allow herself to repeat the mistakes of Atlantis. We must turn away from participation in super alliances.
