Bulgaria leaves Eden - official international version

Day 1,583, 13:05 Published in Bulgaria Bulgaria by Ministry of Foreign Affairs BG

Драги българи, следното е превод на словото на президента към нацията с внесени леки уточнения за нашите чужденстранни (не)приятели. За българската версия, цъкнете тук.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

The following is a translation of the bulgarian president's address to the nation, edited in order to make it sound more consistent for our foreign readers.

Today Bulgaria leaves EDEN,

With a motion proposed by the president and consecutively approved by the bulgarian parliament with a majority of 38 to 1 (of 39 possible, one congressman left his post early) in favor of discontinuing Bulgaria's membership in the alliance of EDEN. The necessary 66% for the motion to pass have been met, according to ebulgarian law, therefore, the motion is considered accepted and in force from 21.03.2012.

How did this come to pass?

Maybe there isn't a player left not acquainted with our saga with Turkey and the disregard shown from EDEN towards our veto. Let us make one thing clear for any possible future alliance - Bulgaria won't be in the same alliance as Turkey.

We exhausted all possible venues for resolving our problems with EDEN and Turkey. Two days ago there was an official ruling concerning Turkey's striping of trial membership status here. We thought that there is a chance all can come to an end, yet yesterday night there was another emergency meeting of EDEN, with the following agenda:

1. Overruling the decision from the previous day as invalid by request of the big 3 : eGreece, eCroatia and eRomania with the pretext that for a 4 hours long meeting and 23 hours time for voting they were not able to cast their vote. They did that consciously and on purpose to play us for fools. I kindly asked them to cast their vote at the moment of the meeting, even though the voting window was already closed, yet they declined asking for another voting in god knows when time period.

We are tired of this policy of dissuasion and delay. To make matters worse it was decided, that even if only one does not take part in a voting process, no matter when it was held, it will be declared as null and void.

2. Impeachment of the Secretary General of EDEN HQ for he set a voting window of 24 hours. TTI himself was not able to attend the meeting due to personal reasons and it was decided to postpone this vote.

During the day greek and croatian representatives were threatening me that at 9 o'clock in the evening I will see what is coming at me. Well, I did.

Within the commencement of the meeting, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, lead by EDEN's military commander (who gave his resignation 4 days ago) attacked us in North Caucasus. They managed to organize a major military landing considering their projection capabilities with the purpose of freeing the region and remove access to 3 of our economical bonuses. They failed, yet clearly demonstrated that obedient slaves is what they need otherwise there will be a punishment.

Well, the bulgarian player is not a slave, the bulgarian fights back when s/he was wronged and mishandled. They will get what is coming to them.

Where do we go from here?

Bulgaria declares neutrality and officially starts making steps towards founding a new alliance, where the democratic values will be upheld most highly. We do not care about the damage potential, nor the political influence of a given state. We proved time and time again that we are one of the few democratic countries in the whole game and will seek partners who would like to share these views with us. There have already been discussions held with some of our close friends and within days there will be a declaration announcing the beginning of this new alliance.

Till then we will sign MPPs with anyone willing and will commence a war with eTurkey.

I truly hope that the nation comes united out of this crisis with the clear conscience, that we had to close this page in our history.

Regards,
Absfresh
