For centuries now, the whole eWorld got lost in endless and cruel battles. (Surprisingly Daleks haven’t yet been seen on any battlefields, but time may bring it …) Whole tracts of land are being devastated, with no one trying to rebuild or even help people left behind in mere survival.
Industries and Workforce concentrate on producing weapons and basic needs for survival, while creativity and arts completely got lost in these dark times of ravage. Except in journalism, which is the last bastion for all who prefer the creation of something new to the annihilation of the existing.



In a distant parallel universe called real life something similar took place a century ago. When mankind finally ended (most) of those wrecking wars, people were filled with consternation. Shocked by the inhuman cruelty and the inconceivable destruction that occurred, they came to the conclusion that this should never happen again. So an organisation was brought to life to prevent such things from happening in the future, which most nations worldwide have joined. The UN was born.



Untrodden paths

Many people in eRepublik feel the same way, so maybe it’s time to try out something different. Why not swap rifle for shovel and build something new and beautiful to honour your nation?
Maybe it’s time to implement some new game mechanics, which will let you invest your energy in building dazzling new monuments for your eCountry. Completed monuments could contribute to the glory of your eCountry in a new cultural ranking with civilization points.
That could come along with a whole new industry, producing raw material and parts needed for those amazing monuments.

Another possibility could be expeditions (into space probably), which people have to support just like resistance wars. And once the starting cost is gathered, you’d have to go through some adventures (little arcade-style games) where you can gain expedition points, and maybe earn some brand new badges.



Battles could also cause a production and financial malus to the country. In order to lift this again, temporarily aid organizations must be set up and supported with money, gold and energy.


Conclusio

In my opinion it’s just about time to found the UNeW (United Nations of eWorld) and make the dream of a peaceful eWorld come true. Or should we better call that organisation UNIFieD (United Nations Institution for Finance and eDevelopment)? Any other suggestions?

I know this will never happen, but one will still be allowed to dream. Let me know what you think about this. And also tell me about your ideas that could add a more philanthropic touch to this game.
