Battle Hero Medal Etiquette

A serious question on etiquette regarding the battle hero medal:

If our country is over the 50/50 bar, is it acceptable to inflict damage to pass the current leader and get the battle hero medal?

To me, it seems like it would be better to not be a jerk, and wait till the 50/50 bar is against us.

My reasoning: This really means you're no longer fighting the enemy, you're just fighting to screw another eAussie out of a battle hero medal.

Why turn your gun on your fellow eAussies? Just makes you a jerk.

All players in this game are jerks.
Plus, you have A LOT of Snipers in D2 in particular since it's VERY easy to get em when you're in your 28's-29's.
Since the same thing happens in D3.

Admin need to fix how the divisions are set up and sorted because it's unfair on newer individuals.

another lesson learned the hard way

I actually sniped yesterday. Because I encountered someone even worse than a sniper - this guy joined eChile's side, used 3 bazooka boosters, then join eAustralias side and inflicted damage when we were at 100%, just to get past the current leader.I decided it was a dick move and sniped him at the last moment - I got the BH medal, but it was mostly because I didn't want the other guy getting it. Thankfully someone else from eChile came along and took his BH of their side as well, so he got none!

I think fighting on both sides to get a guarenteed BH is worse than sniping.
