War Module (Fail)

The battle for Far Eastern Russia ended in failure yesterday. Failure of eRepublik that is.

As reported yesterday the battle for the region was anticipated to draw huge numbers of soldiers from both EDEN/Brolliance and Phoenix member-nations. Well, simply put, it did. At around 14:30 eRep time (with nearly 8 hours remaining in the battle) the war module for the game became overwhelmed by the sheer number of players (pushing 800 soldiers) on the battlefield and frooze, locking potentially thousands of players out from joining the battle along with locking hundreds of players in the battlefield not allowing them to retreat. Luckily for those players no rounds of attack advanced whatsoever.

The battle consumed so much of the games server that the entire war module froze across all battles. This has resulted in wars across the eWorld being put in limbo with no troop movement whatsoever. Naturally bugs have begun to pop up with battles randomly being declared over (as in the case of the resistance force of the eRepublic of Moldova vs eHungary) and a winner assigned, even though the war detail page showed that he battle was over 10 hours into overtime.

In total 11 battles are currently effected by the issue, of which four were frozen in there schedule final hours of battle and have continued into “overtime”. It is still unclear what action the Admin will take to correct the battles, however as it currently stands, the eNations that had met eh victory condition at the time of the freeze, have been granted control of the regions under attack.

In addition to the battles involving eSpain (detailed in the next section), the following battles have been effecte😛

eUSA vs. eRussia → Battle for Far Eastern Russia -> Secured by eUSA
ePoland vs. eGermany → Battle for Northern Bohemia -> Secured by eGermany
eItaly vs. eAustria → Ballte for Tyrol -> Secured by eAustria
Resistance Force of eRepublic of Moldova vs. eHungary → Battle for Transnistria -> Secured by eHungary

For information regarding the background of the above battles, read my previous articles.

(I will update this article as information becomes available from the Admin)

eSpain

In a shocking move, the eSpainish Country President (CP) attacked eVenezuela and eFrance last night. The eSpain CP, Ramso, in a statement clarified that “This hasn’t been a hack, hasn’t been for money, not for EDEN, not for Phoenix. This has been moved by something stronger. Pure Hatred.” The statement referred to the CP's hated for the eSpanish government and several of the eNation's active players.

The attacks activate multiple MPPs against eSpain (13 in total), including six of the ten largest eNations in the New World. Recognizing the opportunity to counter attack, eSpain's long time enemies eMexico and eVenezuela collectively attacked four eSpanish regions within an hour of the original attack. eMexico also launched a esistence war in the eSpainsh-occupied Southeast of Mexico region. With these five battles added to the two that eSpain launched (in attacking eFance and eVenezuela), the eNation will face seven battles ending tomorrow, on three continents; all of which will finish within two hours of each other.

These battles could result in eSpain loosing five of its currently held regions all on one day. Owever, many EDEN/Brolliance member-nations, including eCanada, have tables resolutions to their congesses to become allies with eSpain as a way of dissuading other eNations from taking advantage of eSpain's current predicament.

The “treacherous actions”, as eSpainsih citizens call Ramso's acts, will most certainly result in the CP's impeachment (which was tabled yesterday), if he doesn't rage quit first.

eNorth Korea

The recently PTO-free eNorth Korea, is bracing for yet another political take-over. Recently the eNation, with assistance from eChina, was able to remove the eRussian led PTO from office, they once again have cause for concern. Officials noticed yesterday that Government coffers were running low due to payouts of new citizen fees. Upon closer examination the eNation noticed that it had added 217 new citizens in one day (nearly doubling the eNations population).

A list of 70 of the citizens was published by the eNorth Korean Country President (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/updated-a-list-of-some-of-today-039-s-new-citizens-1504755/1/20). A quick check of the list indicated that the Admin have intervened in the PTO attempt as most of the people on the list have been permanently banned. However, with the upcoming presidential elections in just 2 days, eNorth Korea will certainly be on high alert.
