eWorld Elections

So yesterday was election day, overall across the board voter turnout actually increased globally. While it would be nice to think that this increase was a direct result of more active players engaging in the New World, the most probable reason for the increase is actually most likely linked to bots and multis being used in PTO attempts around the world. In total this Newspaper was aware of 14 PTO attempts, and in 12 of those elections, voter turnout increased significantly.

Below is an update on the Political Take-Over (PTO) attempts in the eNations I mentioned on Day 1,009:

eAustralia: Still PTOed; the Poison and Perish Party (eIndoneasian PTOers) won 60% of the Congress seats.

eBosnia and Herzegovina: Still PTOed; the Demokratska Stranka Srpske (eSerbian PTOers) won 50% of the Congress seats.

eCroatia: Not PTOe😛 the Slobodna eHrvatska Party control an overwhelmingly eCroatian Congress.

eCzech Republik: Not PTOe😛 no changes to seat counts from the last elections.

eDenmark: Not PTOe😛 Nationalist Great Two Fish Ovens Party won 57% of the vote.

eIndia: Not PTOe😛 the India United Party leads a vast-majority RL Indian Congress.

eMalaysia: Still PTOe😛 the Djozikeist Church of Malaysia (eSerbian PTOers) control 62% of Congress.

ePhillippines: Not PTOe😛 the Neutral Philippines Movement leads a super majority eFilipino Congress.

eSingapore: No PTOe😛 only two PTO candidates (Ong Goh and Shotaro) were elected to the 10 person Congress.

eSouth Africa: Still PTOe😛 the Progressive Paty South Africs (eHungarian led PTOers) control 64% of Congress.

eThailan😛 waiting on confirmation as to the loyalties of the United Thailand Party, who snagged 10 seats from known eIndonesian PTOers Thai Girl Party.

eUkraine: Not PTOe😛 the Independent Ukraine Party and its sister parties picked up 55% of the vote.

eUruguay: Not PTOe😛 the three major parties all secured 3 seats each.

eVenezuela: Not PTOe😛 the previous ruling parties (Democracia Proactiva and Comando Nacional Democratico) control 65% of Congress.

eMalaysia

At 22:04 (eRep time) eIndonesia attacked Peninsular Malaysia, eMalaysia's largest province. While eIndonesia has yet to give reasoning for the attack, eMalaysian sources speculate that the attack is a direct result of status of the Congress Elections leading up to the attack. When the attack was launched the Djozikeist Church of Malaysia political party (eSerbian and Phoenix PTOers) were not holding a majority of the seats, and there was a possibility of RL eMalaysians regaining control of Congress. As soon as the attack had started it was over with the PTOed eMalaysia retreating from the battle, thus turning the region over to eIndonesia.

eAustria

Yesterday eAustria was successful in protecting its region of Salzburg against the unexpected attack from eItaly (see yesterdays article for more information). While it should have been easy for eItaly to capture the region (based on population alone), the infamously neutral, eAustria, received a lot of help from Phoenix member nations (eHungary, eFrance, eGermay and eUkraine) in defense of the region.

ePoland

ePoland was rebuffed yesterday by eGermany and eHungay from the eCzech Republik regions it had conquered the day before. ePoland has yet to launch a counter attack on any of the eNations involved, nor have eGermany nor eHungary pressed onward into ePoland.

eUK and eFrance

In an unexpected move, yesterday evening, eUK violated the agreed upon ceasefire between itself, eCanada and eFrance. The the ceasefire was proposed by the now impeached (he actually quit) Country President (CP) of the eUK. The current eUK CP has no intention of honoring, nor feels bound by the commitment of his predecessor, and as such, at 13:23 (eRep time), the eUK attacked North East of England, Canada.

In response to the breaking of the ceasefire eCanada CP, Acacia Mason, returned the favour by retreating from the battle then re-attacking the region at a more favourable time for eCanadian citizens (a tactic used several times by eFrance and eUK). An hour after the eCanadian attack on North East of England; eCanada decided to extend the ceasefire violation to eUK's ally in the war, by attacking the region of Pays de la Loire, France.

(Read Acacia Masons response to eUK's violation of the ceasefire : http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-cp-the-cowardice-of-jamesw-euk-cp-1498913/1/20)

In a news story published today, eUK citizens are alledging that it was actually eCanada who violated the ceasefire. The story states that the ceasefire agreement states that “no battle shall end on August 24th and 25th”, thus by retreating from the battle yesterday and re-attacking the region, eCanada was in fact in violation of the ceasefire, not the eUK. While I won't spend much time on this argument, I will quote from Acacia Mason's response to the allegation made by eUK citizen Mr. Woldy, “Mr Woldy you are just as clownlike as your cowardly CP. Why don't you come to my shores and say that to my face...oh wait...you cant...your too much of a coward...Penixfailmaxxx”.
