Arbeiten in Germark: Wo ist das Geld?
KylePR
Hallo.
==Englisch==
My Article today focuses on my first days in Germark, and I give an analysis on the economics of playing.
The First thing I did when I restarted eRepublik was try to find my company.
O Where O' Where could it be?
I found out through Googling that they went through a really big restructuring somewhere along the way while I was gone.
This is fine and normal, but my organization (holding company) for my company was annihilated by Plato. Grrr Plato!. Which in no small terms means i lost all of economic resources and capital (20+ Gold FTW!)
I had always found it hard to survive financially in erepublik and a lack of a company felt like doom.... I could work for days and days (or invest some real money), but I like quick results and not spending money... xD
So the first thing i did was complete some of the built-in eQuests and after gaining some gold I immediately bought a food company, cause by god where is the food anyways? Its like a desert in here...
So now I own a company, which is generically named after myself. (This feature is stupid, I want my company to have a name) But aside, I have one employee.
Heres how the expenses break down:
Job Income: 25DEM
Income from food sales: 28DEM
Employee Wages: -16DEM
Raw Materials: -14DEM
Profit: 23DEM (Less than my work income)
Why the low income?
Primarily because the Job-Economy is Stagnant, most people already have a job and thus trying to find employees means an always escalating wage fight with other companies. I ended up hiring my first worker at 16 DEM per day (I KNOW!) after competing in a 1-hour battle over wage. But I had to, even 10 DEM ended me up on the 7th page, and when the first page barely changed over the course of the day, I felt as if sitting on the 7th page would never lead to anything....
Also, the Germark food market is incredibly messed up! The different tiers of food (which increase by 2 energy/use for each tier) have vastly different prices, leading to markets such as tier-3 food (0.21) becoming a monopoly.
"Why buy first tier 2-energy food for 0.10DEM, when you can get 3 times the energy for only 2x as much in the third tier???"
But despite all of this, I'm doing okay. But I can owe that in large part to my job. Obviously that 25DEM job is not one that i found easily. Instead i got it when I was still living in Polish-occupied Germark, and luckily they had a German License (Or Something) and I am still working for them... at Polish wages.
Without that I would have much less income, most of which I would end up using on food. And this gets to the root of the problem.
New players will be dissuaded by the high costs of living and attaining food and there inability to participate in Battles because of that limit. This could make them bored because they will be blocked out of the fun of eRepublik, and they might end up leaving!
I won't fight again until I have enough of a company going to sustain my military career, but that probably won't be for a long time
=😃
eutsch==
" Warum kaufen First Tier 2 energiereiche Nahrung für 0.10DEM ?

1. why employ people when you lose money
2. why produce food when you lose money
just buy the cheapest food on market instead of producing it yourself or with employees
there is no good and easy profit in erepublik anymore
I think your article definitely showed why many new players leave the game very soon - the cost of living are so high, that you can't afford to complete the DO on a regular basis.
I miss the word "Work tax" in this article but your overall analysis is right 😁

Folge Brotpreis zieht an.
Folge Rohstoffpreis zieht an
If the margin of profit was significantly less i would probably fire my employee and not run the company... however, it is one of the few things that I find fun in eRepublik and so I continue to do it with the knowledge that atleast i am helping someone else get a paycheck as well. The problem I see is that for many new players, there is no fun in any part of the game until you've been playing for months. You simply click two buttons a day.
Well with work as manager you don't really need to work for other people to get your daily bonus from working and training. and people with high quality companies can employ people and even make profit.
so newbies employing other newbies is the same as producing weapons from raws while making huge loss(!!!) because you think the market for weapons looks better in your eyes [there are actually guys with arguments like that here who reather sell produced weapons for 8cc instead of selling the raw needed (for 0.01cc less than market price but) for profit of 10cc + getting Exp from working]
if you produce stuff that you then have to sell cheaper than the production costs it means you are producing stuff that is not needed. you help others while losing stuff you need to improve yourself. older players can support people without losing anything other than a higher number of money displayed in their account - they can't built more companies to produce more, they have upgraded every trainingcenter and can't train more than they already do etc pp ->they can help people
newbies priority should be only their own wellbeing and they shouldn't try to help others in some strange way only making themself weaker... if you yourself get in your way to become stronger and self sufficient then you only be a burden for a much longer time to others who will have to support you because you don't improve (aka FBI food, common hit weapons ...)
btw when you have 50 or 100companies working them is also only 1click/day. fighting a battle is always only clicking on fighbutton.
what is the magic difference you see between newbies and oldfags? as newbie you can at leasttrain long and fight in battles where your damage makes a difference. as a normal oldfag you have nothing in div4 but the number of other oldfags on your side...
having many companies like an oldfag might sound fresh however every change from admins can render alle your stuff useless (if it isn't already). and even high quality companies usually make very low profit ... it is just a joke. and blind newbies really think anything would change if they would have all the oldfag stuff*. the reality looks different and even newbies could see it if they would just look and calculate the stuff...
___
*if like 2cc profit/q7weapon make you want to get a q7 weapon company of your own then you either have a problem with your eyes or you didn't do your math...
voted. Good article, Eisenmutter
I think we need more goods, more than just weapons and food! Fix the economy module, I'd gladly do it for them, we also need different forms of Companies that could go bankrupt, get listed on the stock Exchange etc.
there used to be houses, defense systems, hospitals, moving tickets. The admins simplified the game in this aspect.
Selbst schuld, wenn man da Leute einstellt:
Erträge aus Lebensmittel-Umsatz : 28DEM
Mitarbeiter Löhne : - 16DEM
Rohstoffe : - 14DEM
--->2 DEM Verlust pro AN
Ist leider nicht nur bei Food so.
