Ansen Retires from UIP Presidency, Endorses Joshua Hoss

Day 602, 15:52 Published in USA USA by Ansen

There's obviously a lot going on in our country right now that deserves more attention than Party President elections...but whether we like it or not, the elections do go on, war or no war, and they should be addressed.

I have greatly enjoyed my three terms as President of the United Independents Party. When I took over the reigns, our party was in danger of losing top-five status and we couldn't even find enough active members to fill out a cabinet. However, thanks to the hard work of numerous members, the UIP has been given new life. We have an amazing core leadership group in place that has helped us to make a big impact on the eUS political scene, despite being the smallest major party.

As most people know by now, I have made the decision to step down from the Party Presidency. I have been either a congressman or party president for the last seven months, and I must admit that I am somewhat burned out on eRepublik politics. There are plenty of well-qualified leaders in place inside the party who deserve a chance to step up and lead, and I think it would be highly irresponsible for me to deprive them of that opportunity if I am no longer 100% committed to the job.

One of those well-qualified leaders is Joshua Hoss, the UIP Vice-President throughout my three terms. Hoss has been a huge asset to our party - he is a strong mind, a diligent worker, and a good friend. He has announced his intentions to run for the Party Presidency, which excites me greatly. I fully support and endorse Joshua Hoss in his bid for the Presidency of the United Independents Party.

As far as what's next for me...I will continue to be a proud UIP member and participate in the goings-on of the party in a non-official advisory role. Meanwhile, I have joined the Marines, and am excited about exploring the military side of eRepublik. Thanks to all of my UIP friends for the fun experiences you've given me, and may the party continue to flourish in the future!

Now...let's go show PEACE the consequences of attacking Americans on our own turf.
