Announcing new eAus party - Revolutionary Left!

Day 4,015, 01:42 Published in Australia Argentina by QuietBolshevik
Comrades!

I am pleased to announce that I have been elected Party President of The Australian Liberal Party and will now be fulfilling my promise to members to transform it into a People's Party of the radical left.

From today the party will be known as Revolutionary Left.

Why are you doing this?

There's an imbalance in eAus politics right now, with most parties on the centre or right. While that doesn't mean much in the context of eRepublik, philosophically you could say the right tends to prefer keeping things as they are, while the left prefers trying out new ideas. Our elections have become quiet. Too quiet. It's time for some new energy.

I see Revolutionary Left as the natural home for energetic people who want to try something new. My hope is that this will help balance eAus politics, give a platform to alternative thinking and be a strong voice for new and low-level players.

eAustralian Political Landscape

So what do you actually stand for?

As we recruit and grow we'll discuss more detailed policies, but to give you an idea here are our founding principles:

eAustralia for eAustralians
We welcome with open arms all players who are committed to eAustralia and its allies. The Revolutionary Left pledges to work in support of the core eAustralian community as an internal vanguard force against any attempts at hostile political takeovers by more densely populated countries.

Solidarity with our Allies
Some of our allies have been particularly good to eAustralia, providing players with funds and support and serving as a strategic shield on the world map. We should go out of our way to show our gratitude, and always remember our friends in their hour of need.

Building the Welfare State
eAustralia has a long and proud history of supporting its playerbase with finances and guidance. We want new citizens to have an accelerated experience, and for all our players to become self-sufficient, powerful fighters who deal their damage at the right time and place.

The Revolutionary Left will always support welfare and education initiatives like the J Seemore Administration's excellent Development Program.

Democracy and Engagement
Earlier in its history eAustralia had a thriving political scene with heavily contested elections, Presidential primaries and articles like this.

It's not for everyone, but those who get involved in the management of their eCountry often stick around longer and feel more invested. It offers players, particularly those with low damage values, more goals to achieve through the game and more reasons to keep coming back. Our party hopes to be a supportive platform for new players, new ideas and open discussion.

So what are you waiting for? Join up today and help build the movement! 🙂
