Gust's "Atelier Escha & Logy" RPG Gets an Anime Adaptation in 2014

Not only will we get to play Atelier Escha & Logy in the west next year, but Gust's RPG is now set to be adapted into an anime series. The announcement of the series—which is being produced by Studio Gokumi (Saki Episode of Side A, The Severing Crime Edge) and set to air in 2014—was made during Gust's 20th anniversary celebration.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky follows two protagonists, Escha and Logy, both of which offer a different style of play. The direct sequel to Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk hits PlayStation 3 in North America on March 11, 2014.

"Hunter x Hunter" Author Resuming Manga Soon?

A leaked scan circulating through Japanese blogs announces that Yoshihiro Togashi will be resuming his hiatus prone Shonen Jump manga hit Hunter x Hunter in December.

The authenticity hasn't been confirmed. Neither has whether or not Togashi will imitate Ging Freecss and abandon his creation as soon as they're reunited.

The second anime movie, Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission, opens in Japan December 27th. Togashi previously returned to the series for a prequel chapter leading into January 2013's Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge anime feature.

The anime adaptation of the series is currently working through the series' "Chimera Ant" arc. There's a 21-chapter arc following that, and a one-chapter launch of a new arc leading into the manga's last hiatus.

Steam Greenlight Campaign For Visual Novel "Narcissu" Underway

Steam Greenlight has proven that no matter how known or unknown the game or franchise, given enough support, a game can make it through the program, since it was created to allow developers a shot to make it onto the popular game delivery platform regardless of notoriety or stature. Because of this, visual novels have been given a shot to land on the service, something that previously wasn't the case.

Now, the latest visual novel project to aim for its own spot on Steam in Narcissu looks to continue the original Japanese developer's goal of offering a high-quality visual novel for free, with developer Stage-Nana's blessing to translate the games in English, provided the new versions also be be made available for free. Below, the synopses for both games.

Summary of Narcissu 1st:

The hospital's 7th floor, the hospice. It was a place to simply wait for one's life to flicker out. A young man diagnosed with a terminal illness is transferred to that floor. There he meets another young patient, Setsumi. Faced with choosing to die either at home or the hospital, the two slip out of the hospital and their long winter journey begins...

Summary of Narcissu 2n😛

Set a few years before the events of Narcissu 1st, when Setsumi was still just a regular outpatient at the hospital. One day, while going for a regular check up, she happens to meet Himeko, a former 7th floor helper and current resident of the 7th floor. They become friends and their summer story begins...
