Please correct me if my figures are wrong. There is no interest earned on investments, there is no company dividends . In fact our market is small and has not the capacity for much money making. The monetary market is a world market and an offer must compete with thousands and thousand of offers. Even if an offer is made now within a few seconds it could be way back in offerings.
Eventually the numbers would turn to atleast 50% by donation.
What they want to do is quite ambitious:

Having been the treasurer for quite some time, and also having guided ILP in structuring their MU, I'm pretty familiar with the origins of donations in Ireland.
The ILP group isn't cash rich tbh. Nothing wrong with that, econ isn't everyone's game. However if your interested in donations you should be looking in the homes of industrial moguls like IFP and IUP.
And ofc solitary benefactors such as Nogin, or the late, great Yddub.
These days donations are not made to the treasury itself generally, but directly to BootCamp (which is actually a community project, not a government organisation) or to the stalwart Seanan in support of the IA.
Contributors' feelings toward the presiding government aren't really involved (or there'd have been a lot less donations!) in donations to these efforts.
All of this is beside the point however, as I intend to take the government off the dole queue
