An Exciting Suggestion for the Nations of EDEN

Day 782, 11:00 Published in USA USA by Cody Franklin

eAmericans, if you click on "Battles you can fight in", you'll notice that, strangely, there are none. I intend to suggest a remedy to this issue.

There's been a lot of talk about America (and EDEN) being imperialistic; some of it is propaganda, while some is sincere concern. People are afraid that, if EDEN keeps getting territory, our liberation may quickly turn into subjugation, which is completely understandable; however, we're all aware that this game is built on war and conquest - a game mechanic which makes nations rich, gives them their fifteen minutes of fame, and provides a warrant for the formation of military alliances; with this in mind, and also considering cries of "IMPERIALISM" both at home and abroad, I have but one question to ask: Why disappoint?

1. A Slow Start

I believe that success requires a slow start, much like in "The Tortoise and the Hare"; in the fast pace at which war progresses, we cannot forget all the minute details and strategies that make our job quick and easy.

As this map visually explains, we need a simple start. For those unaware of EDEN's borders, I suggest that you take a quick look at eGobba's Map to get your bearings straight. Take note of the fact that EDEN owns 2/3 of North America, excluding Mexico. I believe that North America would be far more powerful if it were united, something quite impossible under current conditions; considering Mexico's association with ALA, I believe that it would be difficult to resolve this situation diplomatically; therefore, I propose a quick, efficient military sweep past our southern border.

We would likely need to employ "shock and awe" tactics at the beginning of the campaign to take our enemy by surprise, and cut off a number of troops from the rest of the country. We would have to hit them hard, fast, and relentlessly. My guess is that it would take very little to conquer our southern neighbors, as the national population is very meager, barely topping 1,000, and there are no hospitals or defense systems anywhere within Mexico's borders.. The only potential threat would be the reaction from other allied nations, most of which are not very strong either, barring nations like Brazil and Argentina; even so, recall that we have a far larger number of allies on our side than Mexico, and that we alone are far more powerful than most of that alliance combined. Militarily speaking, taking Mexico would likely be a clean sweep, earning us a couple of cheap benefits:

a. High Oil Regions

b. Experience

c. An All-EDEN North America

What're you waiting for, DoD? It's only a matter of getting in, out, and fortifying our new southern border.

Even with the excitement of an EDEN-ified North America, we can't neglect the European Theater........

2. Tying Up Some Loose Ends

Entente. PEACE 2.0. Leftovers. Whatever you call this alliance, it's a loose end; a straggler from past conflicts. I believe that it's time to mop up this mess. Shortly after the conquest of Mexico, this undertaking can begin.

If you'll again notice the map, this operation can go fairly smoothly, if we allow it to do so. The attack on Ukraine must coincide with the attacks on France (what's left of it,anyway) and Italy. This is necessary to cut off the amount of aid which can be given by one country to another. Individually, I doubt that they would be able to handle multiple EDEN nations at once, especially with the United States thrown into the mix.

As I've brought up on multiple occasions, there was a point at which PEACE had us down to Florida, and that was it; now, PHOENIX notwithstanding, we have the opportunity to finish off what remains of that old alliance, and I suggest that we take it. In addition to expanding EDEN's dominion, we will be able to reap our final victory against what was once an unstoppable force.

One caveat, though. As soon as we take Ukraine, we need to get defenses up on every border, as the idea of Russia overlooking our territory is not pleasant for most people.

Speaking of defenses, France has none, Italy has one or two rudimentary defense systems, and Ukraine has a couple of Q5s. Hospital-wise, France is again bleak, Italy is populated with all manner of hospitals, and Ukraine is saturated with Q5s, ultimately making its conquest a top priority. Again, all of this can be seen on eGobba's Map.

In the end, EDEN's success depends on its ability to play aggressively, and to do what is necessary to triumph. Stripping away the mockery, the humor, and the outright disgust, PHOENIX isn't going to just roll over and die on us; we're going to need all of the resources, financial capital, and territory that we can get; and, considering the comparatively small PHOENIX presence in Europe (excluding the eUK), we should have little trouble with expansion.

Honestly, this suggestion is meant to drive up the excitement in this game, and perhaps provide an impetus for a larger conflict (not to mention providing a few moderately-easy conquest opportunities for EDEN). Eventually, this semi-standoff between EDEN and PHOENIX will end. Some small spark will lead us to a decisive war, and we need to be absolutely prepared. Maybe my suggestion will be the spark that we needed.

To EDEN, all I can say is this: stay true to your title, and keep striving for paradise; oh, and remember - we might all be united under one banner, but truth takes no sides.
