AMP World Cup Bracket Challenge

Day 2,430, 12:28 Published in USA USA by OfficerFriendly

Hey there soccer fans! In case you haven’t noticed, the World Cup ended this past weekend, and so did the AMP World Cup Bracket Challenge. So, here are the final results and prizes for those who participated.

Tasty FIFA Jamz
For the AMP World Cup Bracket Challenge, we decided to use the ESPN Bracket Predictor website. Basically, you were given points for how accurately you predicted the outcome of the World Cup, with a maximum of 160 points available. Here are the top 4 players (not including myself and others who weren’t actually in our group), with the amount of points they got, and the prize they will be awarde😛

First: Koreys - 125 Points (10 Gold!)

Secon😛 Mr. Swagg - 123 Points (6 Gold!)

Thir😛 zako soldier - 100 points (3 Gold!)

Fourth: John Largo - 99 Points (1 Gold - Prize Declined)
There they are, in all their glory. However, since Largo declined his prize - and because I was planning on doing something like this anyway - I’ve created a surprise award! It will be called the “John Largo Consolation Prize.”

The award will be 1 Gold (the gold that Largo declined, due to his filthy richness) split evenly between two players. The first half goes to PilotPhil with 68 points, for two reasons: a) he’s not an AMPer, and he registered on the AMP forums, just so he could join this competition; and b) because had Argentina won the final instead of Germany, he would have been the overall winner in the competition, and would have walked away with 10 Gold!

Beautiful, from every angle…

And the second half of the Gold will go to none other than greeling with 27 points (because we all knew this article needed moar of him.) He will be receiving a part of the prize because not only did he come in dead last - by far. But, he also had the balls to predict the US winning the final... over England.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

So there you have it: all the awards for the AMP World Cup Bracket Challenge. I want to thank everyone that got involved, either in the official competition or in the thread. I had a lot of fun talking and joking around about the tournament, and hope you guys did to. Also, congratulations to the winners (and losers.) Don’t spend all that gold in one place.
