Edit - I'd like to point out that while I did not name any one group.. That is because my disappointment stems from all sides. Reactions were extreme and at times ludicrous. I singled no person out to ridicule them. Only a few that I wanted to be sure knew I wasn't trying to hurt them. If I did hurt you. I am so very sorry... you have no idea how much I regret any pain caused anyone by my following opinion. I'm not taking it down though.
Kitty here. A few days ago I wrote an article about wanting to have fun. I don’t think I was clear on the ideals the article was written upon. While not everyone views the same things as fun I was aiming at bringing the eUS back into funtimes. Not as individual units, but as a whole. Working TOGETHER. I have a strong feeling some people have forgotten that concept.

Noun - Enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure
Adjective - Amusing, entertaining, or enjoyable
Nowhere in the definition of fun do I see things about arguing, fighting, bickering, etc... Nowhere in there do I see anything about doing what you’ve always done because that’s what you feel works. Nowhere in there do I see anything about a group going out on their own without regards to others. America. You disappoint me. For the first time. You have truly let me down. The sad part is that it isn’t one ‘group’ of people. It’s the interaction of the groups. So quick to jump to conclusions. So quick to jump to decisions. So uncaring for others. So selfish and self serving.
Many of you I call my friends. Many of you I enjoy the long hours of talking with. Many of you I enjoy the plans we have worked on. I enjoy your shared wisdom. I enjoy that you are always right, and how angry that makes me. I enjoy that no matter how much you’ve been torn down - you still fight. I enjoy that you are angry and yet find enjoyment. I enjoy that you want to do something. I enjoy that you are willing to do everything in your power to fight for your ideals. I enjoy your shared desire to do what’s best for new players. I enjoy your scheming logistics. I enjoy that you care enough to hate me for standing for what I believe in.
If it’s not obvious, those are pointed sentences to certain people, but if you think that’s you... it should tell you a bit about yourself.
Is this really everyone’s opinion of fun? Fighting & bickering? Over things that could be worked out so easily with a few simple guidelines. This is not what I envisioned. Perhaps my naivete of different people blinded me. Or the fact that I am not an older player. I do not know, and frankly I do not care. I am a player. Not one player in our nation is above another. If you think you are - then you don’t really treat this as a game. (AFA is excluded from this to clarify. I don’t think of them as part of our nation.) We are all in this nation together. We all want to enjoy what we do with our time here.
For the last two days. I have hated the game. I have felt nothing but obligation to try and do something. Something that frankly I am not responsible for dealing with. But because of a handful of people and the way things went down. I do. Deal with it. I could go on to link so many articles. Handfuls. So many voices. Saying this and that. But let’s be honest. It all boils down to a very small thing. Resentment. So much resentment. If you were to strip that away - would you be handling things the way you do? Would I?
Kitty is disappointed. Kitty out.

MC. I appreciate what you're trying to do but, the best way to have fun is to simply stop caring about what happens in eRepublik. There are a lot of players who crave attention and notoriety. Sad that they choose to pursue those goals on this $4,000,000 turd. Consider who you're trying to change. People who are so in love with one of the worlds crappiest internet games that they are willing to lie, cheat, steal, slander, abuse, and threaten to get their way. Backstabbing isn't fun but its the eRep way. Stealing, cheating, and lying are core principals of the game.
The few people out there who are decent, honest people who actually try to play fair are labeled as kooks, idiots, naive, or worse. They are relegated to the "6th" parties and perhaps thrown the occasional bone.
You have friends here, right? People who genuinely like and respect you for who you are and not who you pretend to be on a crappy internet game, right? You've won. You get the prize! You earn the "I'm not a fake piece of crap" medal. I'll bake you a cake and eat it in your honor.
That's all I have to say about that.

I'm a nobody here who doesn't talk to those who play the different aspects of the game, however the problem I see time and time again is that most people forget it's a game and well last time I checked games are meant to be fun. This game lacks "fun" which is why I don't partake in the other aspects. I just mainly stick with two clicking and the occasion mass PM done by my MU.
Bottom line if you don't like how things are going then either unplug the PC and enjoy the nice weather or find like minded individuals and work harder to make it like you want, kind of like how those people supporting US-AIM are doing.

I don't see what's so bad about it to be quite honest. Sure people get into argument, but that drives them to get involved usually. Stirring up the pot may in fact fight against the general apathy that is plaging erepulik.
