A Week in Review | A Noob's Perspective | The First Day
Jarred Brown
Today was my first "official" day within the realm of eRepublik, and more specifically, eUSA. To sum up the entire event, it was a fun-filled, but utterly lonely day spent here in this world. I'm a smart guy; it didn't take much for me to pick up the mechanics of how the combat system worked. It was for this reason that I reached level twenty within the first thirty minutes of play-time. Afterwards, I focused on the simpler things of eRepublik; be it newspapers, political parties, new player tutorials, or even friendships. I was not contacted by, nor did I have any interaction with, another person within my first day of playing. I was quite literally playing a solo game at this point, with a few AI as battle enemies.
Of course, this is not necessarily a bad thing. It opened up the game world and showed me that things can be fun in this simulator with or without friends. (I imagine this is how the hated "Ajay Bruno" must feel?) I can only speak for myself however. I suppose that many new players would think this kind of game-play to be boring. This is one reason I believe eUSA should begin implementing some form of plan for a new player initiation to the game as soon as possible. I applied for numerous programs today (Meals on Wheels, among others) and yet received none of their promised perks. Again, this does not bother me, as I am fairly self sufficient. Also again, however, a new player may take this the wrong way.
I would consider my first day to be not only confusing, but also a heap of fun. I do have a feeling that I will come to love this game and it's entirety as a simulator. I plan on moving forward in politics within the American Military Party (AMP), whether that be to a small position or an even greater one. Hopefully, it will be the latter.

Nice to meet you.
Glad to have with us in the eUnited States Citizen's MU. Majial, Iamnameless and Lee are usually quite helpful. Many others in our unit are happy to offer advice if you need help.

Nice, welcome to the game. Sometimes it can take a bit for the aid program to send you stuff, the quartermasters have real lives too, but it will be sent. I'm surprised that you didn't get spammed by a bunch of political parties to join them, that usually happens.
The presidential message should be of help, but if that wasn't enough feel free to send me a message, and I will explain anything you need. Feel free to stop by AMP's forums as well for some information, fun, and even free tanks. You can take a look at our internship program there as a political start.
