A Quick Look at the CP Race

Well as some of you are aware we now have 5 candidates running for CP on 5th February 2012.

Should this last and possibly continue the CP election will turn into another battle of the parties, which really should not be the case.

The candidate elected CP should be the one who best represents Ireland and will serve the people to the best of their abilities. It would appear as if people are forgetting this.

With Ireland rejecting to join CoT we are described as neutral, but as asecondchance explained in his article, we are leaning towards EDEN countries.

EDEN is at the verge of disbanding. Should this happen a new collection of Alliances are sure to florish. Norway is joining Asgard and Greece is voting whether or not to leave EDEN. I think we should again attempt to join Asgard.

I have sent out a questionaire to all the CP candidates to gauge their economic positions on current problems in Ireland. (Thanks to Nogin for helping!)

I have also invited them to take part in a Presidential Debate on Saturday 2nd February @12pm eRep time. Should they accept I will appoint 3 independent moderators and I will act as the Independent Chair.

Nice work. I'm not so sure about the idea of joining ASGARD though.

If you look at Hank's article, http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2201670/1/20, to me it looks like they're in denial thinking they can survive independently. That and I don't really like the attitude of its leadership.

I agree. We should attempt. Their HQ as a whole has no negative attitude. As has been stated many times, one individual party has a chip on its shoulder. That party runs one half of the alliance, but things are changing and becoming more opportune.
