Hey Feds, once again it's your friendly neighborhood Party President. It seems like only last month I was elected Party President. Protip: It was. And though my term still has a few days left, I'd like to take some time to reflect upon this (rather eventful 😛) month.

And, in case you don't plan on reading closely, let me just say I hold this past month to be a success, and also a beginning. I have numerous plans and ideas I didn't have time to fully institute, and if you'll have me I'd love to return next month as Party President again next month. Regardless, thank you all for the great month.

A Month in Review

I came into office with a Feds who were solidly the 5th biggest party (with around 300 some members), our new forums were just being set up, and though activity was tentatively on the rise (thanks to Malarkey, who did an excellent job the month before me) our Recruitment and Retention departments were...not very existant and our last showing in Congress was equally subpar.

We are now at 530 members, no longer occupying that treacherous 5th place spot, as well as fielding 9 congressmen last election. For perspective that's the same number the USWP got. 😉 In addition to this, it just takes a quick look at our forum to see the explosion of activity, or a gander at the most recent Fed Press articles to see our new Retention team at work. Big thanks there to Fingerguns and BunnyToaster who really picked up the slack when she vacated the position to focus more on being country vice president. Wait did I mention we have a Federalist Vice President now? And a Fed Chief of Staff? It's pretty cool. So all in all, looking at the numbers, this month was phenomenal, obviously numbers aren't everything but they count for something.

This image is uplifting without showing any actual content, you should be appreciating my administration around 20% more at this point 😛

This month has also been quite stressful and eh interesting if you will, and as usual was full of controversy. I'm not going to drone on about what you already know, but I will merely say, throughout this all I believe that the Feds always did what was best for the country, and throughout a very controversial unity candidate selection we did our part to vote in a way that was democratic and included the voices of all of our members. For that I am proud. Next month if the AFA is still a looming threat, which in all likelihood they will be, our Party and the others need to work with the government to make sure the Unity candidate is chosen in a way that actually inspires unity, but for this month we did what we could in the time given. People talk about the top 5 as corrupt, and broken. I disagree, I see our party as one of integrity and one where everyone is welcome. The Feds are far from your average party, in fact the Feds are just plain far from average. I'm also very happy that we were able to actually host a few Party meetings, obviously they were a very new thing and need work but I think that they were very informative and with a little better organization could be a very good thing to continue going forward.

Obligatory usage of awesome Federalist image FG made

Clearly there are still things that need to be worked on, this month hasn't been perfect by any means. Though I've tried to write to you guys as much as I can, and Malarkey has done a good job with the Fed Press, our media is still functioning at a lower capacity than I would want it to be. Also though we have some of the finest members in congress, we also ran some who have proven to be inactive or ineffective, I know that this isn't a mistake that will be repeated, and I think the new Congress system served as a learning opportunity for all of us. If you guys vote me back next month, I plan on improving those as well as working to finalize our ever growing Retention department and some of their awesome ideas that we are currently developing.

Finally, I just want to say that serving as Federalist Party President this month has been one of the best experiences in my eLife, you guys are amazing, I can only hope you had half as much fun as I did this term. And credit where it's due, I've had an amazing cabinet to work with, and Fingerguns was as good a Vice Party President I could have asked for. You guys made being PP very easy :3 And definitely a shout out to everyone who helped ATO before Congress when it looked like there was a chance we might drop out of the top 5.

In any case, there are a lot of good options for PP next month, make sure to ask any questions you have here, I have the time and I certainly have more ideas I want to see developed, so I'll be on the ballot on our forums for Party President next month, keep your eyes open 😉 Ask any questions you have for next month's prospective party presidents (myself included) here~

The country itself is in dire straits, and we are certainly playing in a tumultuous time, we as a party must act as a guiding light, and do as much as we can for our country.

Proud/Horny,
Paul Proteus, Party President
