A little game called: if I was an Erepublik Developer

These latest changes are something I'm not a fan of.

It is my own humble opinion it will push out a lot of old players without really bringing in some 'fresh blood' to replace them. Also I expect the battles to be even emptier then ever before. Which is something I greatly dislike.



Now in spite of all that, I do see the potential in this game, like in anything else with time and some money invested. And of course, with some proper creativity and imagination allowed to roam free.


So, just for fun, I would start a little game in which you might put in some fun ideas what this game might be/might have been. If you have time and will please comment below with your ideas how to make this game more fresh, more attractive:

I will start:

My idea: Aliens in Erepublik


Introducing Aliens in Erepublik would go via occasional Invasion Events that would require everyone to battle the Aliens. The whole outcome of the event would depend on players; actions, of course. If not enough Worldwide goals are achieved, all accounts would end up with some bad crippling penalty (for example: lost rank/strength/gold or something similar). Later events, depending on actions of players would lead either to fight underground- guerilla (if the event was a victory for Aliens) or battle for an off-world resources and counter-invasion if the players achieved the goals.

Yes, alliance backstabbing would be made quite possible, the battles between alliances would be tweaked to waste more of Earth resources during such events,
but not of the space resources.

Possibly there would be resources gathering events to build space carrier fleet to strike/fight the aliens.

Might be even an even later introduction of building space weapons/fighters for each account (like ground/air weapons right now)

This is a raw idea, but I'm pretty sure everyone would get the picture. You can write something similar or in less/greater detail.
