A bid to represent the UK and the WRP in Parliament

Day 2,864, 11:09 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

My bid to represent the United Kingdom and the Workers' Rights Party in Parliament

I am seeking a 10th term as a member of Parliament. I have long felt the Workers' Rights Party bring Congress(Parliament) a firm base of approachable and active members never afraid to stand up for what is right for the citizen and the eUK. Members of Congress who stand for fairness, equality and integrity. I would once again like to be among these members.

Congressional Pledges

I will take part in all Congressional votes as it is the duty of all Congressional representatives to make every effort to participate in this democracy we operate to fairly and adequately represent the people.

I will consult as widely as possible to make informed decision. I will be answerable for my decisions through my Congressional report 'A view from Parliament articles' which I have used comprehensively in the past to report all my Congressional activity.

I'd like to support Congress in their efforts to hold the Government to account primarily in financial matters where my long-standing involvement with the Minister of Finance gives me good insight and experience however also in matters of Defense, Foreign and Home Affairs.

Mainfesto

I feel the eUK public are responsible and resilient and require only a fair and supportive government. On the most part our Governments, past and current have been well equipped to meet the need of those they represent. However I feel through minor reform, Government could be better organised, accountable and transparent with no corruption and it is the role of an organised and ever questioning Congress to provide the scrutiny required to encourage reform where needed.

A key thing I'd like to see Congress request from all future Governments is a clear spending plan from Government, this is even more crucial as we see an increase to current taxation levels in regards to work tax, VAT on Weapons and VAT on Food.

So for example before a Government is formed (or shortly after) their plan is presented;

Spend 110,000 GBP on MPPs in a month from the Treasury and Revenue raised
Raise an additional 25,000 GBP in the term to run Government TG Loan schemes
Spend 50,000 GBP for grants or bursaries (however Government would like to support citizens or their businesses) from the Treasury
Raise an additional 50,000 GBP for COs, to be used in national emergencies

So a spend of 235,000 GBP from the Treasury and through raised revenue.

Therefore theoretically once Congress gives the sign off for the entire plan or parts of it. Congress can then monitor the any spend from the treasury and monitor the revenue raised through taxation to be able to adjust levels of taxation so agreed Government activity / revenue raising can take place however Congress can also ensure that where possible any 'unplanned or not needed' funds stay in the pockets of our hard working populace.

Close

Overall I want to be a committed and supportive Member of Parliament working across party boundaries to play my part in a Congress which does a lot of good for the citizens of the UK. I will close by asking that you kindly consider offering your vote and support to the Workers' Rights Party and me.
