Democratic Party of India - Our Party Platform
First, and foremost, we commit ourselves to total democracy – within our party, within the country and in the whole of the New World. In letter and in spirit, we shall try to be the voice of the people and a movement by the people & for the people. This platform itself shall be adopted only when the majority says yes, and shall not be rigid, but subject to change.
Total democracy implies that each and every member shall have a say in all party decisions, if he/she makes the effort to say something. Total democracy also implies complete transparency.
Foreign Affairs
We are for a neutral stance in New World Politics. We however, state that this neutrality is not a result of weakness but of our commitment to this path. Our neutrality does not affect the status of original Indian regions occupied by foreign powers – we claim those regions to be ours and ours alone and we shall always move towards obtaining the same.
Economics/Finance
Economics, in Erepublik, depends on changing scenarios. The party shall seek advice from its members as to its policy in any given situation. We shall have a team in place to guide members through any hurdles in businesses they might face.
Congress
We commit ourselves to providing capable leaders for eIndia’s present and future. To ensure a certain minimum commitment from our congressmen the following criteria shall be applied.
Criteria for Congress endorsement –
The party shall give official support only to those candidates who fulfill the following criteria.
1. The candidates promise to pay 5 gold to the ‘Indian Government Bank’. At this stage of development, eIndia needs these funds.
2. The candidates promise to abide by the citizenship entry rules.
3. The candidates sign up on the Indian forums at forum.erepublikindia.com. Within the forums, they should sign up on the Party Forums section.
4. The candidates seek to serve out their full term.
In case a Congressman/Congresswoman goes against any of these during his/her term, then he/she shall not be given official party nomination for the following month.
We hereby adopt this as our Party Platform.
