Lord Rhindon. An Introduction.

Day 642, 03:19 Published in Australia Australia by Severin Organization

Fellow citizens,

I stepped into the Sydney airport this morning, after a long flight from Dublin. I've been in correspondence with various members of eAustralia's administration, but its about time I make an introduction to the rest of you...

I'm Lord Rhindon - formerly very heavily involved in the political arena of eIreland, having served in a number of senior governmental roles there, among other responsibilities I took up in the wonderful community of that beautiful Isle. If interested you can read a little into the background more here.

I come to eAustralia, as I am a real-life citizen of this country: Townsville, North Queensland. I know the RL state very well, and have seen much of the nation (though not NT/Tas) - from Brisbane, to Sydney, to Melbourne, Perth, and nearly every little stop in between.

That gives me the ability, as many of you have, to recognize what it is about Aussies that makes us who we are...

We are fiercely independent. Little-dog-syndrome, presumably. We don't take nonsense. We aren't intimidated. We laugh when the gun is pointed in our direction. We don't stop until the last of us is down. Ever.

We are united. We are one, but we are many. There's much more to this place than simply possessing the papers of citizenship - being Australian is lifestyle - we've got our mates, our neighbours, and a fire in our words embodying the very spirit of opportunity, a fair go. We stick up for each other. Unbreakably. Every time.

We share a dream. And sing it with one voice. Nothing will stand in our way. Our identity as a people, our passion for accomplishment and our efforts towards collective success in every challenge we take on is unmatched, and unparalleled. We have a vision. And we will make it happen. Because we're something that others just don't understand. We're Australian.

That's how we roll.

And that's what I intend to stand for.

Yes, I am new to eAustralia. But I will be making every effort to contribute to the community, eagerly. For this reason, I've joined the True Blue Party, and have received the permission and endorsement of the Party President, corny-ratbag, to run for Congress in Queensland.

Additionally, I'll be moving across my two publications from Ireland.

This one, Rhindon's Rationality, will shortly be renamed and will serve as a medium through which I can just let loose on political rants and straightforward announcements and such. Was pretty much the same in eIreland.

My other, The Celtic Chronicle, will likewise be refurbished from its Irish roots to blend with the Australian community better. More for a recreational sort of writing. The type you'd sit down on an evening with a cuppa and read just to be entertained with something of more pleasant substance than your daily headache-inducing political intake of petitions/scandals/announcements/manifes tos and the like. Nice to have a break from all that.

Also, I'll be putting my name down for any Ministry that may have a vacancy at this time. Might as well start racking up some experience here, wherever I can.

So, if you ever wanted that one other active citizen, you've got one now!

But in the meantime, I hope to see you all at the bar. Can't really say your regular Bundy does it for me, I'll have to bring some of the vino rosso instead....oh but give me some of that Royal Liqueur and I'll be set...

(So damn good it can only be bought direct at the distilling factory, mind you).
