Ollie Chase And Congress/Senate?

Day 641, 00:43 Published in Australia Australia by Ollie Chase

Well everyone, it's that time of month again.

Congress elections coming up and everyone is chucking in their presentations in a desperate attempt to get voted/re-voted.

I personally hate this time of month. It clutters the news with presentations and it's hard to know what really IS news.

Unfortunately, it's unavoidable, so I'm jumping on the train and writing up my own presentation.

◘◘◘

As some of you may know this will be my third congress term, and I still haven't written a bill. Others might not know this, of course, upon having read that, you know now.

Of course, if voted it will be my third term so I think it's about time I did write a bill. Of course I will be seeking aid of more experienced Senators to aid me with the formation of the bill I am currently thinking of.
Here is a description of the bill and it's reasoning- http://docs.google.com/View?id=dr8kbw3_11d89h9nfb
Due to my inexperience, the actual Bill has not been fully formed or put to a template, if re-elected I will likely ask for discussion to open on the matter before presenting it as a bill, if not elected I will request a voted Senator to present the bill on my behalf.

Of course, that's not the only thing I'm going to be doing, it's just the most major thing I will be doing in the course of my term.

During the term, I will obviously be doing what I and many others think is in the best interest of our country for WA. I understand that it's not just a pretty chunk of land, it's our home and to some of us, more of a home then anywhere else in the country, but we cannot support this and as a conclusion from discussions made, I feel that it is in our best interests that we at least post-pone the return of this region.
There have been worries concerning WA that a much larger group of Indonesia will fight to retain the land if we opened the resistance war, so we also pose a risk of standing at a loss if we attempt to go on with the agreement.

Of course, as usual I will be active to the best of my abilities unless the case of internet drop out or power outage should occur or other such things.

As an additional thing, a lot of people feel that it's about time that our Military really started getting the support that it needs from the government so that we have a developed and powerful military, that will make us a force to be reckoned with. We don't have the numbers yet, but if we can achieve more funding and more programs to help get new soldiers involved then we will have a military worth reckoning with.

I will be watching topics obviously, and with the new term I'll be able to fix up and start afresh and stay on track.

Good luck to all those who are running this term.

Also, as a side note to all citizens-
Do not just vote someone because they have a presentation tag, view their presentation then make your choice. This will ensure you get a congress that really care about your country.
