In December 1944 the German Army launched a surprise offensive against Allied forces in the Ardennes Mountains region. By December 21 Nazi forces had surrounded the sleepy Belgian town of Bastogne, which contained a network of eleven crossroads vital to securing the German advance. Conditions inside the besieged town were difficult, food was scarce, ammunition was running low, and most medical supplies and personnel had already been captured.

On December 22, 1944, through a party consisting of a major, a captain, and two privates under a flag of truce, the German commander General Heinrich Freiherr von Lüttwitz sent the following ultimatum to General Anthony McAuliffe, acting commander of the 101st Airborne Division and the Allied forces trapped in Bastogne:

To the U.S.A. Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne.

The fortune of war is changing. This time the U.S.A. forces in and near Bastogne have been encircled by strong German armoured units. More German armoured units have crossed the river Our near Ortheuville, have taken Marche and reached St. Hubert by passing through Hompre-Sibret-Tillet. Libramont is in German hands.

There is only one possibility to save the encircled U.S.A. troops from total annihilation: that is the honourable surrender of the encircled town. In order to think it over a term of two hours will be granted beginning with the presentation of this note.

If this proposal should be rejected one German Artillery Corps and six heavy A. A. Battalions are ready to annihilate the U.S.A. troops in and near Bastogne. The order for firing will be given immediately after this two hours term.

All the serious civilian losses caused by this artillery fire would not correspond with the well-known American humanity.

The German Commander.

A short time later Colonel Joseph Harper, commander of the 327th Glider Infantry, presented General McAulliffe’s official (even typed) reply to the German delegation:

To the German Commander,

NUTS!

The American Commander.

Colonel Harper had to translate the meaning of the word “NUTS!” to the German delegation. His explanation: it meant “Go to hell!”

Today Canada exists as a nation of partisans. Merely a thorn in PEACE’s rotting and bloated side. Ontario is a crossroads, presenting PEACE with an objective that is not valuable enough to take head on, but is too important to bypass and ignore. As long as there is an Ontario, there will always be a Canada, and as long as there is a Canada PEACE can never focus its full might against the United States.

At the time I write this article most of our country is under foreign occupation, and Ontario has become Canada’s Bastogne. We are surrounded. We are under siege. Yet we are not beaten or defeated. Every time PEACE has sent their monkeys to demand our surrender we have thrown them down the metaphorical well.

Soon there will likely come the day when Canada is down to a single province, an island of hope awash in a sea of tyranny. And when that day comes, when Canada is but a fragile dream teetering on the brink of extinction, and PEACE sends their monkeys, we will throw them down the well again. Live Free or Die, as they say in New Hampshire. Canada will be whole or it will not be at all.

That is why the words of the American Quisling Chris Stanwick have been troubling to many Canadians. In Canada there is an ingrained resistance to tyranny, a national unwillingness to surrender. When Canadian Quisling, former Justice Minister Adasko, publicly called for surrender to PEACE he was booted from cabinet by President Jacobi, and ostracized and ridiculed by the public. Stanwick’s firing left him a marginal hero in the United States, and a major political force until he was recently (and mercifully) taken off the ticket for the upcoming elections. In Canada defeatism is treated as treason, in the United States some seem to see it as an alternative world view...

Canada will never surrender to PEACE. Canada will never sign a treaty that abandons a single region to any foreign power. Canada will never sign a ceasefire that puts any of our allies at risk. Canada will never sign a treaty that would keep PEACE forces occupying a single Canadian region for even a day after the cessation of hostilities. This is understood in Canada, attempting to do otherwise would result in a public lynching for all those involved.

If the United States surrenders then Canada is doomed, yet we will fight on. If EDEN surrenders we again will still continue to fight. We will fight on with the full knowledge that in the end we will be wiped out, but never conquered. What PEACE does not understand is that conquering our regions and destroying our defence systems and hospitals will not end this war. This war will be perpetual. If they take our regions then we will sabotage their economies. If they occupy our homes then we will wait until they are at their weakest and stab them in the back. If Canada is to be destroyed then let us go out not with a whimper, but a bang.

Canada has made it clear that we will never agree to kneel before PEACE. We Canadians would hope our American neighbours could match our bravery and perseverance. PEACE can conquer our regions, but they can only conquer our people if we let them. Don’t be a Chris Stanwick. Don’t be a coward. Die on your feet; do not live on your knees.

As I read the news today I hear that the fortunes of war have irrevocably changed for the worse. British Columbia is under attack. Canada will soon be reduced to a final fortified region, surrounded by strong enemy forces. I am told that supplies are running short; resources are reduced to a minimum. The Adaskos and Chris Stanwicks of the world claim that the situation is hopeless. PEACE forces have crossed the Rubicon; they are advancing on all fronts. PEACE has warned us to surrender now or be totally obliterated.

Well to Hungary, Indonesia, France, Russia, Portugal, PEACE GC, and all the Quislings of the world, I only have one thing to say:

NUTS!

Just ask Colonel Harper if you need someone to translate.

The Cross of Lorraine

If you have been paying attention lately you will have noticed a few of us have put the Cross of Lorraine in our profile pictures. I'd like to thank William Duncan for this wonderful idea. I encourage you all to do the same, and put the Cross in your profile picture. The Cross now represents Canada's eternal resistance to PEACE occupation. It represents our willingness to fight to the death to preserve Canada in its entirety. But most important of all it represents the fact that PEACE will soon realize they have biten off a bit more than they can chew.

So put the Cross of Lorraine in your profile picture, and show Canada and the world just how committed we are to the idea of 'die on your feet rather than live on your knees'.

Jacobi Impeachment

Its a well known fact that myself and a majority of other Canadians are not supportive of Jacobi and believe his administration has gravely mishandled the war thus far. However impeaching him at this juncture, especially at the behest of the Hungarians, is a stupid idea. Presidential elections are a few days away, vote in a new leader (I suggest Bruck) when it is the appropriate time. Not now, vote 'No' on impeachment.
