Maverick Goh for Congress!

Day 581, 05:56 Published in Australia Australia by Maverick Goh

Amidst the nightmare Maverick Goh is going through, where Eureka Holdings the organisation he is CEO of got hacked not once, but TWICE, he is putting his hand up for Congress elections in the sunny ol’ Territory (NT) under the True Blue Party. Here’s what he has to say:

I am once again extremely grateful to the NT population who voted me into congress this term. I will always remember that it is the public that has put me to represent them in government, and that I am not doing this for personal gain. As such, if I get voted into congress, I will donate the 5 gold I receive to the National Bank of Australia.

These were my plans last term:
- Ensuring the timely return of eAustralian regions
- Ensuring the continued security of eAustralia through diplomatic means
- Ensuring adequate funding to our military
- Reducing VAT for food
- Ensuring the Ministry for Culture continues to develop and grow in helping new players

Of these, I haven’t brought about the reduction in food VAT. At the time, food prices were at an all-time high. I brought forward a discussion to reduce food VAT, but there wasn’t much support. Food prices are now at an all-time low, and I feel that reducing food VAT is not necessary in the current climate.

Tasmania has returned in the meantime, while eAustralia is enjoying peace with the nations of this eWorld currently. I voted ‘yes’ to the military ‘Boot Camp’ trial and continued military funding, while I have volunteered to help contact new players together with the Department of Cultural Services (DoCS)

My plans for this term include:
- Ensuring the timely return of South Australia
- Look into reducing income taxes for certain industries
- Ensuring adequate funding to our military
- Increase government transparency through my role as Minister of Information
- Ensuring the development of new players through helping the DoCS

As I have said last term, if I have not performed my duties well as a Senator for the past 1 month, I don’t deserve to be re-elected. But if you feel that I have done enough and could be doing more, I hope to continue serving you in Senate for another month. Your vote is your voice in the government! Therefore, I urge all eAustralians to exercise your right to vote who you want to represent you in YOUR government!

Cheers,
Maverick Goh
