~Libertarian Party Positions~

Hello, Libertarians! It has finally come after much request, Party Structure! And boy, do we have a lot of positions opening up for you guys! We are going to solidify the LIB party this month. There is some other business I want to take care of first before I get to that though:

inside

1. Congressional Candidate Updates
2. Appointments
3. New Positions for Applications (Regional Representatives, Press Corps Director, Ninja Turtles)

1. Congressional Candidate Updates

We had 28 libs sign-up for Congressional Elections this month. Many signed up for the same states, and as I stated in the previous articles, it wasn't first come-first serve. The best candidates for the states were selected after much deliberation. Then, a meeting with the CvP, FED and UIP Party Presidents was held last night. The point of the meeting was to solidify our parties for the coming elections to maximize each party's possible seat count in a fair and balanced way. The LIBs are running in 18 states, the CvP is running in 18 States, the UIP in 17, the FEDS in 6. I expect the LIBs to fight like crazy and pull in 6 times what we have now, at least. I want to ensure that I do care about those who didn't get selected. It was a very tough decision and I want to help you out in building your career in any way I can, which is why I am bringing up this:

To those of you who didn't get a PM, I am sorry, but we just couldn't run you this time. It is unfortunate, but I assure you that the decisions made were for the best of the party. I urge anyone who didn't get a nod to please apply for Regional Representative listed below. A list of all our candidates will be up later today.

I ask all LIBS to please vote up and subscribe to all other LIB papers during this election so we get maximum exposure and readership!

2. Appointments

There are a few positions in the LIB party that I want to appoint before we get into the application stuff. Because of past issues with party leadership in the event that the Party President goes missing, I will be naming a Vice President. This will ensure that the party will always have a known leader in case something unfortunate happens where I have to take a leave.

The Libertarian Vice President is: Tom McDougal He is a very dedicated guy who has already proven he will do anything for this party. He has provided invaluable support when needed and he is very current with the old-forums. He is the ideal guy to have by my side and I'm proud to have him there!

The Manifesto Director is: Emerick He is one of our most senior members, also top ranked, and can actually remember when the first mentions of a manifesto were being discussed. He is the ideal choice for this as he holds the values of the LIB party very high in importance to the game and our party.

Libertarian Development Director: Stuck Pig Stuck has been working on recruitment plans as well as programs to help out New Libs. He has been secretly doing this job for the past few weeks and will be amping up the department.

Statistics Director: Crashnct He has managed to find every LIB in every state, make a spreadsheet and determine whether or not they are active. He did all of that without anyone even asking him, so for that, he is amazing! He will continue to update the LIB stats so we have a clear idea who and where are members are.

3. New Positions

1) There are a few positions that I want to open up to the entire party. First we need Regional Representatives. What this means is this:

a) The nation has been split up into 19 regions.
b) One LIB will be the Regional Representative for that Region.
c) The main job of the Regional Rep. is to work with the Development Director for recruitment in those states and helping out new LIBs, directing them to our forums, etc.
d) The Regional Rep. will also help out with the candidates in the states within their regions. This means PMing and campaigning.
e) Each Representative will have their own Board on the forums.

Benefits: Each Regional Rep. will get first consideration for Congressional Picks for States in next Month's elections. This is a good way to build our party and build your standing within the party. It isn't a terribly large amount of work, but it will be a few days of PMing and all that. I hope everyone signs up!

2. Press Corps Director.

I will be holding applications for Press Corps Director as well. This person will run the Libertarian Ledger. The Ledger will be used to voice the opinions, campaigns, whatever of the Libertarian people. If you are a LIB and want to write an article for the Ledger, you will go to the Press. Director and he/she will help you out and put it in our paper.

a) The Director will structure the paper and most likely write a weekly update of LIB news.
b) The Director will have their own office on the forums and will deal with selecting which articles to publish.

3. Lastly, we are looking for a few good people to help update the wiki page about the LIBs. This is historically known as The Ninja Turtles If you want this position, please contact me via PM.

Well, that's it! I hope you all decide to sign up for something and we can get this party up and running! Remember, the official announcement of the LIB candidates for Congress will be out soon. Thanks and I hope everyone has a great weekend!
