Responsibilities of the Minister for the Community
Hi, I am 05637716, the new Community Minister. I’ll try to keep this short and informative. I don’t claim credit for these ideas, and if they are introduced, I will do my best to make sure the original creator of the idea receives credit. This is my provisional manifesto for the new Community Ministry. I promise to implement it in as full a manner as possible and post revised aims within 7 days. It is fairly clear to all of us that there was a demand for something like this, and while this manifesto doesn’t appear to have a lot of fun in it, it is simply the building blocks upon which we will build up our Irish Community. I will be in discussions with all of the people responsible for helping set this up, and in the coming days I will be releasing articles describing each of these points in more detail. This must be done properly, so there is no need to rush. I would also like to welcome my Community Assistants, who will be helping me in this role. Put your hands together for Teutorix Aleria. Finally I would encourage you all to get involved. This belongs to you.
• Creation and maintenance of Irelands Chat network: Official and Offside with a mandate to clean up chat and establish proper rules
• Establish and run an Irish Community Organisation, in charge of running competitions, challenges, awards and providing general entertainment to the Irish community
• Run the eIreland Lottery, proceeds of which goes to Wellness Programs
• Establishing and deciding awards for Entrepreneur of the Month, Soldier of the Month, Politician of the Month and Publisher of the Month, in consultation with MofFI, Co’s of IDF and MofInfo
• Establish and run a weekly University Newspaper, encouraging participation and providing links and general exposure, in consultation with the Minister for Education.
• Meet and greet new citizens, and encourage them to participate in the community in whichever manner they feel comfortable in, by providing links and general assistance. This would be done in conjunction with Company Owners, whose duty it would be to report any new citizens working in their companies. Through their own channels, Community Assistants will meet and greet New Citizens as well.
• Create and maintain an impartial and completely objective Question and Answer Org, whose duty it is to answer questions and provide wholly factual information about eRepublik life, political parties, forums, etc. In conjunction with the information bank to be introduced on the forums.
• Create and maintain a New Citizens Guide in the Forums, and create and maintain a New Congress Member Guide
• All of these functions will be the responsibility of the Community Minister and his/her Community Assistants, and will be implemented primarily on the forums and through the use of a new Irish Community Org.
• If the Community desires it, private donations can be made to the Irish Community Org, which could be used as Prize Funs for the awards above. Any surplus donations would be put into Wellness Programs.

Now that the ministrys duties have been outlined it's looking good. Im particularly interested in the awards system which should bring the to fore citizens not neccessarily getting exposure in the media (apart from the politics/publisher ones) Politician of the month might be a bit difficult to do objectively tho!
Good luck. But, I would much prefer a ''Article of the Month'' to Publisher of the month.
I envisgae Publisher of the Month because I don't intend for it to be just articles but also for being active on the forums 🙂
