The Key to Wealth and Wellness

Day 560, 05:55 Published in Philippines Philippines by Swagger McSwag

Did you know that if you had 100 Wellness, you will be 33% more productive than an employee with just 50 Wellness? This means, for every 10-point increase in Wellness, you could get a 6% raise on your salary.

How We Lose Wellness

LOSING WELLNESS?

Suppose you worked everyday at a Q2 company, you'd lose 2 points daily. If you train each day, which I strongly recommend, you'd lose 1 point. So, in total, you lose around 3 points*. Therefore, to gain 1 Wellness point per day, we need get at least 4 points*.

Houses: Gaining Wellness During Peacetime

RL ACTOR HUGH LAURIE AS DR. GREGORY HOUSE

In my opinion, the best way to gain Wellness without going to war is to buy a house. A house will give you a daily Wellness boost depending on its quality level. A Q1 house will give you about 1 Wellness point** per day, a Q2 house will yield 2 points**, and so on. Of course, you still need food but, now, you can buy cheaper food.

I recommend you buy a used Q1 house first. Unfortunately, we don't have a housing industry in the country because admin decided not to give us wood (which is strange because, when last I looked, RL Philippines was a mountainous tropical rainforest).

WEAPONS BLACK MARKET?

So, you'll have to trade directly with other players or organizations (called "black market" or "flea market" trading). Prices should range from 3.5 GOLD to 4.2 GOLD for a Q1 House.

President Big Boy Bulley runs Merchant Traders, a black market thingamajig, and can possibly hook you up. Just send him a PM. Similarly, apinyaku might have a Q1 house for sale. Also, I believe Divinitywolf has some connections and might hook you up, too. Consider looking up IndieKid and HazzN, too.

In addition, I strongly suggest you join the ePhilippines forums here: http://ephilippines.forummotion.com/, and ask around for houses there. You might want to check out the "Houses" thread here: http://ephilippines.forummotion.com/merchant-market-f4/houses-t14.htm

With a Q1 house, you can buy Q2 food and a Q1 gift (and have a friend or you company gift 'em back to you). This should let you gain 1 Wellness point for just about 6 PHP*** per day.

Without a Q1 house, you can buy Q2 food and two Q2 gifts for around 8 PHP*** per day. For skill 2 workers and below, this might be a problem, but everybody else can do this.

War: Gaining Wellness in the Battlefield

BATTLEFIELD?

When you reach level 5, you'll be able partake in war if your Wellness is at 40 and above. Once we set up a Q5 Hospital and sign Alliances (also called Mutual Protection Pacts MPPs) with other countries that allow us to participate in overseas conflicts without leaving the country, you will need to be in Visayas (where the Q5 Hospital is planned to be established) to take full advantage of this feature.

If you choose to travel abroad to join a war, be sure to move to a region that has a Q5 Hospital. Keep in mind that you will lose 2 Wellness points if you use a Q1 Moving Ticket. If you ask permission from your employers before leaving, they will definitely offer to rehire you when you get back. It's a win-win for both of you, obviously.

Philippine War

Fighting in local wars will NOT require you to move, quit your job, quit your party or resign from Congress. If you want to fight in a local war, you can't because there isn't any. Yet.

At the moment, the Philippine government seems to be vying for membership in PEACE Global Community, an international military alliance composed of some of the most powerful and wealthy nations in eRepublik, including Indonesia and Hungary.

MY PLACES > ARMY PAGE

If we do get in, we will almost invariably sign an MPP with Argentina, which will allow us to participate in the Argentina-Chile War Games. Should this happen, all you need to do is click on Active wars list on the Army/Training page (My Places > Army), and search for wars that the Philippines is active in. Click on Details, and then click on Go to Battlefield. Once there, click Fight to... er, to fight. Each fight will cost you 10 Wellness points. Repeat this until your Wellness drops to 50 (ideally) or just a little below 40. Click Go to Battlefield, then click Hospital, and then click Heal.

If you moved to Visayas, and the planned Q5 Hospital is up by that time, your Wellness will shoot up by 50 points. Send a PM to your employers with your current Wellness and they should adjust your salary accordingly. Each time you fight, you get 2 experience points. You can conceivably gain about 12 XP per day so this is a great way to level up.

Foreign War

WAR ABROAD

Since the Philippines is not involved in any wars at the moment, the only option you have is to temporarily move to another country that is involved in war.

To fight in a foreign battle, you need to quit your job and/or your party, and buy two Moving Tickets. I suggest that you Work and Train first before you move out, Fight, and Heal. Then, the following day, Fight, Heal, move back, get rehired, and Work. At this point, your Wellness should be above 90.

Oh, and try your best to Work everyday so that you don't get fired. XD
