Sterlo to make return for the Blues in Origin Opener
Homer J Simpson
In a shock announcement today from the NSW management it was revealed that Peter Sterling will be making a return to Rugby League playing for NSW in the opening State of Origin to be played at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne on Wednesday night.
Realising they have no chance of stopping the Maroons with the current stock of players they are hoping the return will have the same effect as Alan "Alfie" Langer's recall in 2001 where he helped QLD win the third and deciding match in style.
"If this goes well we may consider bringing back Blocker and The Chief....." Laurie Daley, NSW Selector.
