An introduction from the man that needs none

Alright, I admit I do need an introduction so here it is 😛

Ive been here for a while now, almost 6 months I believe, and ive seen a lot of change here and have had plenty of experiences.

When I arrived Australia was completely occupied by Indonesia, I wasnt involved in the liberation (except a few pathetic fights in the RW) but I got to witness the rebirth of our nation and it made me proud to be a part of it.

Since then I have been a four term senator and this time I can say I did contribute in the liberation of further territories, again I was not at the forefront of this, that honor is reserved for other greater citizens than I, but i can say I was a part of it and consider it a highlight of my political career.

This term I am the first Inspector General of Australia and can report that everything is going well so far. There is nothing inapropriate in the Cabinet forum and our first inspection resulted in an innocent verdict, although a stern reminder to us all to watch what we say, and the second investigation on centrelink is underway as I write this and will provide some insight into spending.

I also have experience running companys and a keen insight into the market and its workings. I have owned and run a total of 4 companys all of which were successful, but have decided to shut up shop and sell them recently and use the money to provide loans to new players wanting to start up promising businesses, although the plan hasnt started yet because i still have to sell mine.

Alright, a fairly long intro for someone that doesnt need one 😛
but heres what youve all been waiting for, yes thats right, actual content!

Congress "speech"

This is heating up to be possibly one of the most important elections yet with many new faces running for congress and a wider opinion base than ever. Theres two main sides to this, the majority of the current government and the strong socialist scheme, and then the "new right wing" who are keen to cut spending dramatically among other things, and then theres me, somewhere in the middle.

I intend to take a more proactive role in politics this term and try to get a few things ive wanted to do for a while done.

First and foremost,
Cut Centrelink Spending
Its no secret that a large portion of our budget is spent on centrelink, although it is unsure where all the money goes at the moment, but once that is clear I intend to propose a bill to cut centrelink spending by at least 10% how this will be accomplished at the moment is unclear. I am 100% for the hospital program so no cutbacks will be made there, the other government companys dont seem to run so not many cutbacks to be made there either, so the money will have to be made by cuting back on the gifting scheme. It is unclear how this will be done right now, since the workings of the system are still unclear, but i will attempt to cut down a lot, this terms goal is to reduce the funding from $1000 per day to $750. If i can do this I will be happy.

IF (and yes it is somewhat of an if) this gets done I will propose a bill to lower income tax should there be a surplus, although we still want to save money for buying back teritories if it is possible i would like to lower the income tax to 8%

Foreign Affairs and Military

I have always been diplomacy first regarding Indonesia and will remain that way, being friends will be best for all of us, however that said I believe Australia should remain neutral in foreign affairs. That said, I believe in giving aid to small countries that are being victimised whilst protecting our own interests (by not getting caught up in the world wars)

With that stance it is obvious that we need a strong military, especially if we are going to be moving up in the world. I want to maintain government funding of the military and continue to have war games and encourage every citizen to participate in them.

The ecconomy

Ah here is a tricky one
I want the market to be free and let everyone have an equal opportunity to make money
however I do not want GMs to rip off the public simply to make hoards of money for themselves

So how do we accomplish this? and are they inherently contradictory to eachother?
Honestly I dont know the answer, the best I can think of is to give advice to GMs about how to run their companys in case they dont know that they are making mistakes.

Should there be a market gap or simply all GMs of a particular product are ripping off the public I am not against giving loans to fill that gap, but again, we are not a rich government and its not really sustainable right now, and then theres the contraversy about favouritism.

I dont have any brilliant ideas myself but if elected I will vote for what I think is best for the entire ecconomy regardless of party lines.

Conclusion

Well thats the three big ones and im sure you are bored of me by now so I will leave you to think about why I am running and leave you with one last thought

Regardless of your political beliefs I encourage you to vote for someone who contributes to arguements and discussions in a constructive manner. Good healthy discussion and a wide range of opinions is great for government, but an us vs. them mentality can really hinder progress.
Vote for those who will contribute in a positive manner, or failing that, vote for me 😃
