Socialist Freedom Press - Official Newspaper of the SFP
Socialist Freedom Org
Being that this is the first article for the Socialist Freedom Press, we thought we would take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to the citizens of the eUnited States.
The Socialist Freedom Party is the largest party in eAmerica that opens its arms to the full spectrum of far-left radicals. Our membership includes socialists, communists, anarchists and all flavors of lefties in-between who have come together for the purpose of championing the cause of working men and women and providing a real alternative to all of the "shades of yellow" centrist parties that hold state power today. As a political party, we are naturally concerned primarily with winning seats in Congress and the Presidency of the eUnited States, but that is not all that we strive to do.
The Socialist Freedom Party is a member party to l'Internationale, an international congress of far-left parties. It is through cooperation with our brothers and sisters around the world that we are beginning to see the emergence of alternative ways of life to those that have been thrust upon citizens of the New World.
Our comrades in eRussia and eTurkey have shown through their example that it is possible to set up working communes that can rival any capitalist business empire. We are currently working on starting the first eAmerican commune so that workers can have an alternative to the exploitation of capitalist production. Our comrades in eSouth Africa have been working on methods for implementing a more direct form of democracy that is showing promise and may prove to be an effective method of repelling PTO's.
A better world is possible... but not without your help. If you are interested in using your critical thinking skills to develop and perfect alternatives to the system we have been dealt or if you are interested in getting involved in a party that actually cares about workers' rights and plans to do something about it, Join the Socialist Freedom Party.

I FAIL... i had the first and was gonna say that the author told me to get the first post.... then i delebeteded it
Wtf? No workers rights. The owner should be able to decide wages & other things. Although job safety is important, if the worker doesn't like it, he should leave. WWII already proved that appeasement is NOT the way to go.
@SoONEr Magic52 - Spoken like a true conservative, however, I find your WWII analogy puzzling.
Is he/she talking about appeasement to workers or something?
I wish you the same luck as RL American Communists.
As a business owner, I have always tried to play fair with my employees. Workers can replace their empoyers with a couple mouse clicks; they don't need you to protect them. Furthermore, I'd shut my company down before I let the hippies take over what I've built.
Glad to see that your alreadying starting to work hard Ramon.
@Arken - Well then I do not recommend that you give control of your company to our commune. Not that we are hippies. See, unlike the real world, we are able to coexist alongside your capitalist companies and we cannot be oppressed by the state. We do not intend to "take over" your free market enterprises. You can run them as you will, but there may come a time when you have no workers to work your oil rigs.
@Mark Valshannar - As in real life, on eRepublik a Marxist must always be defending his ideas from naifs when really it should be the capitalist who is scrutinized for making his livelihood off the back of his fellow man. I will continue to do so until my fingertips are bloody stumps.
I can't enter a party yet to do the requirements placed on me by the capitalist that insist I work and fight to meet their standards before I can actively support a political party. However, I'd be interested in joining the Socialist Freedom Party once I get to the proper level of requirement.
@Pegan Aries - We have a "youth" organization which allows those who have not yet reached level 7 to participate in party activities before they can officially join the party. While I am yet to fully understand how a socialistic plan would work in eRepublik, if it's anything like real life I don't support it in the slightest. Go capitalism!
@Kyler Lee Octan - Well, I'm glad you put more than a few minutes thought into it before dismissing the idea entirely. It was THE LEAST you could do. Go sheep!
Well, when I've had enough experience in eRepublik to justify it, you can bet I'll be right back here explaining why or why not it is as bad here as it is in real life.
Double pwnage there Komrade. Shame on you Capitalists for assuming the worst of Communists.
@Kyler Lee Octan- I like how you dismiss ideas before knowing what it is.
I didn't dismiss it in eRepublik. I dismissed it in the real world, where I am quite aware of what it is. I said if it is as bad here as it is there, then I will dismiss it. If not then I won't. Isn't that simple enough for you to understand?
@Kyler Lee Octan
In Erepublik the closest thing we can have to Communism is a government run entirely by the people (this requires outside of the game involvement like on a forum) with the possibility of government funded companies gifting certain items to citizens of the nation. (a weapons policy of which I had personally proposed for the party)
Hopefully this will make you realize that Erepublik Communism is different from RL Communism. In truth it is only lip service for the most part.
Now please before you go complaining about a system you do not understand, ask about it and understand it.
"government run entirely by the people (this requires outside of the game involvement like on a forum)"
Could you elaborate on this concept, please?
"Now please before you go complaining about a system you do not understand, ask about it and understand it."
I thought I just addressed this, but never mind.
A forum of the people and by the people would vote on congressional (not to mention presidential) candidates of who they could trust to do as they say. (I.E. a poll would be set up on a forum asking if it would be a good idea to raise the minimum wage, if it passes the elected members of congress would all vote yes on the bill in the game) The South Africans are already trying to set this system up
Hm...
Wouldn't that give more active citizens and citizens who know of the existence of the forum more say? What stops other countries from registering members on the website?
Currently, a comrade of ours is in a commune located in eSpain to see how it runs, and was planning on moving back here with the knowledge he's gained, and was planning on starting a commune.
I will talk to him and see if he has any advice for the party.
Drive the right wingers into the trash heap of history!
@Kyler Lee Octan - You can check the forum users against the list of citizens from your country. We will only be able to stop multies when the Admin is able to do so him/herself so we can't concern ourselves with that.
...when you feel the brutal, unyielding power of thousands of loyal workers tearing you apart, socialism will endorse you...
it is the most natural form of government- we all work together for the benefit of the whole. that society defaults to concentration in cities, in itself, validates a social communism.
it is only corruption that faults socialism- capitalist countries know all about corruption.
I thank the party for velcoming me vith such overvhelming generosity. I hope to live up to it in the near future.
