World News | Minimum Wage in the Philippines Up 5000%
Swagger McSwag
MANILA - A law increasing the minimum wage to an unprecedented 50 PHP from the previous 1 PHP was passed by the Philippine Congress today, making the Philippines what may very well be the country with the highest minimum wage in the eWorld.
The law was proposed by Mindanao Representative cabraUB of the Spanish renegade party, Secta del Guru Varnish (SGV), and was approved by a narrow 17 against 16 votes in Congress.
A similar bill was proposed by Visayas Representative Mithedel (SGV) 2 days ago but what dismissed when votes tied at 18 all.
The proponents of said law in the Secta have provided no forthcoming explanation for it, besides claiming that the increased minimum wage will grant more buying power to consumers.
However, it is commonly held by the public that the law is just another one of the Secta's moves to destroy the national economy by crippling both government-owned and privately-held food companies, apparently, just for the 'lulz'.
A bill restoring the minimum wage to 1 PHP was proposed by Luzon representative Divinitywolf of the British-led Filipino Progressive Movement (FPM) party to quickly undo any of the ill effects of the sudden minimum wage increase.
Editor's Note: The Spanish-led Secta del Guru Varnish is making life hard for your friends in the Philippines. And, apparently, they are just doing it for the 'lulz'. That is why we need your help. On May 5, we need your votes for Big Boy Bulley for President for a Progressive Philippines for the Filipinos, free from the Spanish Secta del Guru Varnish oppression. So, please come to the Philippines today! Please contact me for details on how to possibly obtain moving tickets for free.

We can no longer hire any new citizens until this is repealed I feel very sorry for the boat loads of new citizens that appear everyday that wont be able to get a job until the minimum wage law is fixed
your country sucks, haha
shame for the philippines
That... is the single most amusing thing I've seen so far. Frankly if they don't get voted out for this stunt something is very very wrong in the Phillippines.
Something is very wrong in the Philippines. It is called a political takeover. We need help preventing them taking the CP position too, or you may find the Philippines declaring war on all its neighbours.
