Vote Swagger McSwag for a Kick-Ass Republic!

Day 520, 12:07 Published in Philippines Philippines by Swagger McSwag

Mga kababayan (my countrymen),

Warm greetings!

I would like to announce that I am running for Congress on April 25.

Please vote me. Thank you.

About Swagger McSwag

I am Swagger McSwag, an RL Filipino, and one month and 9 days old in eRepublik.

I am a member of the Filipino Progressive Movement (FPM). I currently working for the government as the Ambassador of the Philippines to Japan and a Supervisor in the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA), where I manage BOP Foods, the ONLY local producer and distributor of 3-star baked products (Q3) in the country.

I am also the publisher and editor-in-chief of The eRepublik Outsider, one of the country’s top metropolitan dailies, and have made contributions to the late Rageldo Dimagiba’s The Daily Coconut in the past.

Although, still technically a newbie in the game, I learn fast and I work well individually as well as in groups. I also have a natural penchant for politics, macroeconomics, public relations and journalism.

I'd like to learn and contribute more to ePhilippines. I believe that being a legislator will better position me to be more useful to this country and to the eWorld in general.

Why I Joined the FPM

In the wake of the Bunaly fiasco, the British-led FPM came to our shores offering their help and expertise in rebuilding a nation stripped of its resources and national treasury.

However, being traumatized, the locals were wary and immediately suspicious of “foreigners” entering the country to offer help.

But, while most saw “oppression”, “imperialism” and “political takeovers” with the arrival of the FPM, I immediately saw an opportunity for change, progress and a general improvement in the lives of eFilipinos.¬ That’s why, at the risk of running afoul of my fellow Filipinos, I started encouraging everyone to be more open-minded, let loose of their über-nationalism and give FPM a shot.

I believe my advocacy has paid off. Today, the country is in better economic shape. Although we still run into some problems, more jobs are now available for people, food prices have fallen dramatically, a practicable tax reform program is in place, and the value of our currency is constantly rising by the day.

Furthermore, we now have a couple of defense systems installed, which we got virtually for free, and the President is currently working hard on negotiations for obtaining our first hospital (Q4).

I have also gained valuable experience in the microeconomic aspects of the game in the DoHA under the tutelage of Director Keitarour and President Big Boy Bulley, and some foreign policy experience in setting up the Philippine Embassy in eTokyo.

April 25 FPM-PFF Coalition Government

Although I joined the FPM, I have always hoped for increased cooperation and harmony between my party and the Filpino-led Philippines for the Filipinos (PFF) party.

The arrival of Jurgo Evergetes’s unholy Secta del Guru Varnish provided the perfect opportunity for strengthening ties between the PFF and the FPM.

For some time now, I have been advocating and floating the idea of an April 25 FPM-PFF coalition government, behind the scenes, between key members of both parties to unite in blocking Jurgo’s Secta from taking over Congress.

Today, I am happy to see the members of FPM-PFF working as one, being in complete support of each other’s candidates. I hope to see this trend of mutual respect and cooperation continue for many more months to come.

The Spaniards and the Secta del Guru Varnish

When Jurgo and friends arrived in the Philippines about a week ago, most Filipinos again saw “imperialismo”, “colonialismo”, “feudalismo”, and “conquistadores”,

But, once again, I saw another opportunity... an opportunity to learn Spanish. LOL

However, the Secta is a walking, talking public relations disaster. As long as they insult our intelligence and offend our women, they will not prosper here.

I call for a complete BOYCOTT of all congressional candidates running under the Secta ticket.

To my Spanish “amigos”, change your ways or get run over.

Publicity, Thought and Strategic Power

Right now, with the tax reform almost fully implemented, there isn’t much in the way of legislative debates.

However, I will always do my best to bring fresh ideas to the table, find new ways to better the lives of our countrymen and make ePhilippines a more interesting place to live in.

I will contribute whatever I can, whether it be publicity, thought or strategic power... or even money and actual resources when my ship comes in.

I will vote on EVERY proposal.

Improved Relations with Neighbors

With our economy on the rise, I believe it’s high time we up the ante in improving relations with our Pan Pacific neighbors. This will be key to our eventual rise to global preeminence.

I’d like to push for more ambassadors, more members of the diplomatic staff and the establishment of more Philippine embassies overseas.

Department of Education

I’d also like to push for the creation of an organization that will cater to the educational needs of new players in particular.

I’d like to encourage more experienced players to write informative and helpful articles about getting around in the eWorld.

In the future, advanced educational courses may also be provided that touch on macroeconomics, microeconomics, journalism and publishing, and history, among others.

Philippine Press Club

I'd like to propose the creation of the Philippine Press Club.

The PPC will be an association of press directors who may, at times, publish similar articles simultaneously or over an extended period of time to raise public awareness of issues that they feel are crucial for the public to know, understand and/or make a decisive stand on.

Ancient Philippine Kingdoms, Dynasties, Rajahnates and Sulatantes

With the coronation of Luzon Representative Prince Terence I as Paduka Maulana Mahasari Sharif Sultan Hashem Abu Bakr Prince Terence I of Sulu and Mindanao, a new era of Filipino royalty is being ushered in.

Let’s crown the eDescendants of Rajah Lakandula, Magat Salamat, Rajah Humabon, and Rajah Baginda and others.

Conclusion

I look forward to your favorable support on April 25.

Please vote Swagger McSwag for a Kick-Ass Republic of the Philippines!

Warm regards,

Swagger McSwag
Ambassador of the Philippines to Japan
Supervisor, Department of Home Affairs
