Think differently, Think Canadian, Think Jacobi.
Jacobi
Let me begin by illustrating what is wrong with the Canadian government today.
We don’t fight enough. Our country lags behind. Our politics are insular. Our activity lags behind. The theft of $35,000 generates a lack of confidence. Our morale lags behind.
My roommate plays eRepublik, and he is currently in Romania working there, generating money there, using his activity there, and he hopes soon building a company there.
After reading that another friend of mine has decided to stay there, he too told me today that he may not come back to Canada.
Need we become a backwater?
Nova Scotia is the only door to a PEACE invasion. It is the first and only province that can be attacked. Now, lets set aside the pros and cons of abandoning every province east of Quebec to an invasion without considering token opposition, because the government is committed to Fortress Ontario and this election isn’t about opening up that can of worms.
Let’s talk about how it makes sense that $35,000 CDN was going to be spent on the CAF, a group of barely 100 individuals while the citizens of Nova Scotia, numbering 164, have no Defense System and only a Q1 Hospital.
Some people would say that we need a CAF to prevent takeovers in this and other countries. Maybe so, but they don’t need $35,000 a month to do it.
Some people would say that the CAF builds activity. But not when it is limited to 2% of Canada’s current population.
The government, the parties in power, believe that it makes sense to take from 100 people, and then to give back to only 2 of those 100.
Let me tell you, Nova Scotians, I don’t believe that for a second.
I can’t believe that that sort of extravagant spending on a glorified social club can be conscienced when Nova Scotia, and many other provinces in its position, month after month is shafted.
So if elected Congressmen, I make the pledge to you, the citizens of Nova Scotia, that I will make sure that the money that the people of Nova Scotia put in every day goes towards the defense, of Nova Scotia and the wellness of the people in it.
There are three ways to do this, and all of them would be vastly more equitable to us living on the front lines than the current policies of the Ontario centric government.
1) Lower Taxes
By reducing the CAF social club budget we can lower our taxes, which will increase investment opportunities for Nova Scotia citizens, grow our economy, and put money back into your pockets
2) Increase spending on infrastructure
Better hospitals improve YOUR wellness and allow you to gain more experience from attacking France or participating in Canadian battles without costing $20 CDN or more to move to Ontario and back every time a battle breaks out. Better defense systems will allow us to stop an attack at the border, and give Nova Scotia the due it needs.
3) Expand Canadian Health Care
Wellness helps our citizens, wellness helps our battle readiness, wellness helps our businesses. More money and more focus on the Canadian Health Care system will yield amazing dividends on an open basis.
This would include Public-Private partnerships between businesses and governments who want to increase the wellness’ of active players.
And I am not against the CAF, in fact I think it should be expanded and I think all Canadian citizens who have the activity should be given the opportunity to join. However, I do not believe the CAF is sustainable in its present form and is the key reason the development of Nova Scotia and Canada is held back.
Even if just one of these ideas were to take hold, the people of Nova Scotia would benefit. Canada is a unique and blessed country in eRepublik, its richness in resources and geographic isolation present many opportunities for us beyond simply enriching the privileged few.
On election day, when you cast your ballot, I urge you to think differently, think Canadian, and think Jacobi.
Thank you.

Great presentation!
So you want to increase spending on infrastructure but lower taxes? Where will the increase money come from? Oh yeah, from the CAF budget that you want to cut. But you also want to expand the CAF? I'm sorry Jacobi but I'm wondering if your math might be flawed.
and I quote "Even if just one of these ideas were to take hold, the people of Nova Scotia would benefit."
"However, I do not believe the CAF is sustainable in its present form"
Nothing to do with math, just ideas. If we lower taxes, or if we expand health care, or if we increase our network of defence systems and hospitals, or even if we double or triple or quadruple the size of the CAF, we are in a better position than we are today.
The main current however, is that we are spending far too much per capita on the CAF, and that there are many other areas that money would be better spent. Maybe we can't have all three, but just one is better than none.
This platform is all over the place. You need to make up your mind and focus on clear facts because your slander is not even professional.
I choose to remain politically distant from things like this because I am a firm believer that the General should never impose political beliefs on others.
I am happy to change anything that is slanderous
It is not slanderous...just reactionary crap.
"I am a firm believer that the General should never impose political beliefs on others"
You just did Coda. Negatively commenting on a Congressional Candidate's presentation seems to by a political belief to me.
And how is this platform all over the place? I clearly see a central point in this presentation, $35000 is over budget for only 100 soldiers.
Also where is this slander you speak of? I only see ideas...good ideas.
You have my vote Jacobi.
You claim that you will increase spending on infrastructure in Nova Scotia, while lowering taxes and increasing spending on healthcare. But this is Congress, not the presidency and no man is an island. Emilio and I have fought countless times to convince our fellow congressmen to protect the one weak spot in our defensive system, and yet when we do succeed, we are vetoed by the government. I do not dispute your claims that the government maintains a "Fortress Ontario" attitude, as I know of this attitude better than anyone, and have experienced its wrath firsthand. What I dispute is your ability to suddenly change the minds of over 60% of congress regarding this issue. As a Congressman of Nova Scotia, I have taken the initiative and set up SCOTIA organization, devoted to raising funds so that have-not provinces such as Nova Scotia can buy the Defensive Structures and Hospitals we need, but the government will not provide. I have already raised over 900 CAD to this endeavour.
Vote for a name you can trust. vote for a man who HAS challenged the ruling elite, vote a man who HAS stood up for the underdog,
vote Vincent Chaotic.
An interesting proposal, though I have found a great many errors in the presentation. Firstly, you make a great many comments on population, and how only 2% of eCanadian citizens are in the CAF. However, I would estimate that eCanada is made up of only around seven hundred to one thousand active citizens - even fewer of which are active (or even registered) on our forums.
If this is the case, then, at the very minimum, a TENTH of our population is in the CAF. On top of this, there are still open spots in the CAF for people to join. Should they have the inclination, they would be allowed to join (following basic training).
I'm running a bit late now, but I'll continue this later.
