***An Informal Resignation***

Day 488, 11:54 Published in USA USA by Uncle Sam

Now that I have a bit more time to actually publish something I have a few things I'd like to say about my resignation as president.

My Resignation, forced or not?
I in fact did come to congress last Friday night asking to be impeached. I did this because I could not handle the political crap that gets thrown each different direction every time I make a decision. While I did lack in communication with people at times, I realized that there wasn't going to be much room to get out of the negative spotlight. So I asked congress in their chat room to impeach me so that I could resign while having a president to still run the country. While people thought I was just venting that night, I was in fact being completely rational in my decision.

Unfortunately, I was on a camping trip for the past few days and unable to get onto the computer to see that my resignation was public or official. Much to my displeasure, I return home only to find that there is an impeachment proposal. While seeing the vote gave me a sign of relief, I was also upset that public opinion would be that I had been impeached instead of resigned. Not ending this on my own terms is the only downside for me.

As I leave office
I wish Scrabman luck with his half term coming up. Many thoughts went through my head. I could easily pull a Franco and steal a lot of treasury money. I could open up many battles at once and screw over USA relations with other countries. I could have done quit a few things to spite the country that has so bitterly attacked me when I was trying to leave in peace.

That however is a decision I decided to go against, simply because it is not what's best for the country. I could spend all the time I wanted getting revenge, but what for? No, even though my exit from office seems forced, I will exit with dignity.

Now there are many things left undone from the work behind closed doors from my administration. Many positive actions that many people won't ever know just because that information can not be made public. Deals with Romania, Peace treaties still needing to be signed. Things that have been in the works, but never made public. I will impart this knowledge to Scrabman when we have a chance to talk about it.
