To the voters of the NT

Congressional elections are upon us soon, we go to the polls in a mere four days to decide the political landscape for this term and I encourage you to vote ANP. This is the first time Australians living in the NT get a chance to vote in an Australian election for a long long time and it is up to you to show us where you stand politically, are you comunists, socialists or nationalists?
Why ANP you ask? Because we believe in civil liberties and democracy, we will curb the unsustainable spending of the current government and therefore not need to raise taxes, and we will introduce ecconomically responsible, effective social programs.
With the addition of two new political factions this term, the ANP is made out to be a party of "radical capitalists" because implicitly we must be so; the ACP is on the far left, so the ANP 'must' be on the far right. I assure you this is not the case. We maintain our centre right agenda, in terms of major partys we are perhaps the most centre orientated, with the ADSP continuing to practice very left politics.
So residents of the NT, when you go to vote please consider myself and my National party coleagues as your representitives in congress, and if you are looking to join a party you will be very welcome at the ANP.

If you don't vote for BA you can also vote for me. I'm afraid i'm not really representing any party or ideal. But I can promise concience when it comes to your interests.

Broadside, I said out of the major partys, due to the AIP's low membership it hardly counts as a major party, you really do need to read all the words. As for the nonsense, a little polical commentary is welcome isnt it? I believe I didnt take it too far, if I did I apologise.
Taytaz, the ANP has never really been in a position where it can vote it down. A lot of the time I think youll find we have voted for the cheaper option though.
We shouldn't be surprised by their increased public hostility. It's just typical right wing reactionary politics. The recent formation of the ACP and the leftist program of the ADSP have caused them to ramp up their ideological rhetoric in defence of their bourgeois interests. They have to do this.
Already they are insinuating that leftists don't believe in civil liberties and democracy. They will continue to propagate the idea that only free market capitalists believe in such noble ideals. The CPSU suffered from the same defamation, despite the fact that we even tried to include opponent Party members in our government and Commune management elections.
I've been amazed by the Australian media's politeness and high standards compared to other parts of the eWorld. However, it seems that this situation only existed because government policy hadn't really endangered the interests of a significant group or class, until now.
I hope the media politeness continues, but as Australian politics continues to fracture and polarise you can expect the further straining of relations and the subsequent deterioration of media standards as opposing parties are driven to extremes to defeat enemy propaganda.
BlackAdder, you haven't been active on the forums for most of your term, so I don't see why you should be voted in.
