The New World is back – a new approach

- A 24 hours complete software update and testing has been completed while the site was down. Two teams worked around the clock (12 hours each) in order to improve the loading time and solve as many of the issues that occurred last week.
- Citizens that want to apply for candidature in the Congress elections are asked to send an e-mail to moderators@erepublik.com , until 9:00 AM eRepublik time (day 431 of the New World). The following information must be send to us: your citizen name and ID, your party name and ID, the link to your presentation article (if you have one) and the name of the region where you want to candidate. E-mails received after the 9:00 AM, will not be considered.
- Party presidents are kindly requested to start managing their congress candidates list after 1:30 PM. This way, we make sure that no updates to any list will be made after this hour and the party presidents can be sure that during that time-frame the list will not be modified any more.
Update: In the next 2 hours we will process the rest of the Congress candidature requests.
- The active battles that have been stopped yesterday will be restarted at 2:00 AM eRepublik Time, day 433 of the New World. Also, no battles are to be opened until then. Any new battle will be closed and the Gold payed for opening it will be lost. This decision has been taken in order to allow more testing time for one of the most important modules in eRepublik.
- As requested by the community, the article comments will be placed as before (oldest comments will appear first) - it is a temporary solution until we will implement further newspaper improvements. Thanks for your feedback.
- Nobody will loose the 'Hard Worker' medal due to the period of 24 hours when eRepublik was under the process of server maintenance.
- We've learned a lot from the mistakes in the past couple of days and new systems have been implemented, not only technical ones but also improvements to the in-house processes.
- Interesting ideas and opinions posted in more than 150 comments in one of the latest blog post regarding trivia. To be analyzed... soon.
- Let's talk! Remember to post your complains, suggestions or maybe... greetings to our team in the administration board in the eRepublik official forum or via the contact form. Let's improve together the communication between the team and community.

Just answer me one question: why couldn't you wait five more minutes to end the battle in Southern Great Plain?
Btw, I'll give you a hint admins, you have to change your code in future to avoid bugs and crashes when Romania is attacked.
You have in your code if a country is attacked if value ID is less than 2 it gives an error. Romania has the countryID 1, so it will always give an error when attacked. And that's no joke! Please fix that!

Shaok: We can debate on this for days and I can give you a tone of reasons why Hungary or Romania have been advantaged. The idea is that, it is sorry to say, silly to think that we could jeopardize the whole project in order to give an advantage to a group of citizens. Heard it a million times, by now, the admins have given indirect advantage to almost all the countries in the New World. And speculations like "You have in your code if a country is attacked if value ID is less than 2 it gives an error. Romania has the countryID 1, so it will always give an error when attacked" are needless to say that are uncalled and based on personal opinions. I'd like to kindly ask you to let's keep these "I know the best" approaches for another time.

Okay, another suggestion of mine is:
as speedhacks are being used for flash trivia, as mentioned here:

Set a request for the work/train/fight button that will start a timer server side. This timer should be set for 150 secs because trivia maximum time being 5*20 secs and additional 50 secs for eventually laggs and slow loading client side. When an ncoming request comes from client side in this timeframe regerding the trivia, the timer should reset until new request. If in this timerate no request comes then give a server side request about 0/0 trivia, and give it to a log for further investigations.

@zocky: It is ok if the party and user name was correct, don't worry. But the ones that want to send the email now, it would help us a lot if we could receive the IDs too.
@Desertfalcon: It's more difficult than you can imagine. Many crons, scripts and stuff like this are strongly related to this date. We might mess it up really bad.

Well if you can't move the date back at least give people a longer time to apply for congress at least here in the U.S. I sent in a list of all the people in my party who wanted to run for congress yet did not have the chance to since the site was down yesterday. It is unfair to us since the dead line is so early in the morning

What about the thounsands of wellness and gold lost in the army because your war module, in the last day??? who is gonna gain that back??? All the soldiers war fighting maximal 3 times...and their wellness droped down to 30 because no answar from trivia was taken in consideration???? what about that???

@Desertfalcon: We've got indeed plenty of requests to run for a seat in Congress, from citizens in the US, but we have to respect a schedule, and give at least 10 hours to the party presidents to manage the list. I'll see what we can do. You have a point!

@Kirill: We are at the beginning of a loooong journey, the community department is around 15% of how I want it to be. Soon, with new members, new game or community moderators, the communication will improve a lot.
