D.C.: Send ProggyPop Back to Congress!
ProggyPop
Friends, Fellow Party Members, Residents of D.C., and eAmericans;
Around the same time every month, aspiring politicians come to you and ask for your vote. I'm here because it's been a great honor to serve in Congress and I ask you for another month of support. My name is ProggyPop and I'm the Congressional representative for the District of Columbia. I've had the pleasure to represent D.C. for the past two terms and a previous term before that. I am also a former Mayor of the District. I've tried to serve my fellow residents with courage, dignity, and passion.
Over the past month, I've worked with my colleagues on several important projects:
-I was a lead sponsor of the Comprehensive Tax Plan, or the CTPA. I proposed the weapons change, one of the more controversial proposals. I stand for the CTPA because I believe we've set an equal threshold for the economy and can better adjust individual industries going forward. I also support across the board income and VAT taxes.
-I am the legislative representative on Justin's Cabinet, as the CP3. I am the Chairman of Procedure and Protocol. As such, I've led the discussion on both the Speaker of the House and Congressional Committee's. I am a strong advocate in improving the efficacy of Congress.
There is still much to be done to take our rag-tag version of Congress and improve its efficiency. I support the following measures:
-PASS the Committee system. Committee's will allow for specialization and increased intelligence on our proposals. It will also give better legislative oversight on foreign and domestic affairs by creating appropriate venues for hearings. Committee's also force Representatives to stay involved and will lead to a more wonkish, productive, and multi-partisan Congress.
-NATIONALIZE Q1 Food and Guns. I support government owned Q1's for Food and Guns for two main reasons. First, Q1 food is a necessity for our low-wage workers and a government run industry can provide low prices. Q1 guns, on the other hand, could stock our soldiers and help solve the problems in the Quartermaster's office. Second, government run Q1 industries would provide the government a means of providing low-skill workers an introductory job at a slightly higher rate. Increasing the wellness and skill of new players at a faster rate benefits ALL eAmericans and can be placed on the tax rolls as a result. I would also support subsidizes for current Q1 gun and food companies to get them up to Q2.
-RE-THINK our alliances. I'm on the fence on the ATLANTIS question. I do think we lack central planning and trust in our system. As a result, I would support amending the charter or even starting a new alliance system with fewer, stronger allies.
-SUPPORT smart business development. We should expand in resources we are rich in and act smart in areas we are lacking. I support subsidizes for businesses to gain export licensing. I also support higher worker salaries and would support an increase to the minimum wage.
Thank you for your time and I hope to win your support.
Re-Elect ProggyPop for D.C.!

NATIONALIZE companies? I can not support that. So basically the eAmerican business man would have to compeate with his own government in which his tax dollars will be used to finance the very companies that he will be compeating against. Government in business is never a good thing. Now if the Government wants to subsidies business they can provide insentives for real eAmerican companies to employee low skill workers at a higher pay grade. And to top that off any of these new citizens who stick around long enough to start there own business will be forced to compeate against the government and fail for the very reasons you have stated are suposed to be helping.
This is not a plan to help citizens this is a plan to help big business and will lead to the restriction of new citizens and there ability to take advantage of some basic game features in our nation and be able to succeed.
Yay! You can give me one vote mindflay 😛
lol I would love to but.

Maybe we can work together instead.
Did I miss a market failure? Are we going to need gov't grain and gov't iron as well?
Amusingly you're all jumping down my throat in a way that makes it seem as though you didn't read my article. I advocate for 2 types of nationalized products, food and guns. As far as businesses competing with the government companies, I support offering subsidies to all current Q1 gun and food companies to get them to Q2. This will increase productivity in higher levels of both products, and any company that chose not to upgrade is a company we need not sympathize with.
Congressman Publius, while there may be no market failure, there are market instabilities in both areas. Food prices are extremely uneven. In fact one of my learned colleagues recently did a study and found that he could not afford food within 2 weeks when he started as a new player and lived off Q1 foods without gift trading. These proposals are for the benefit of the least well off citizens while they do not significantly harm other citizens. That's a win-win.
I think your a bit confused there proggy. I outlined what the high points of your plan would do to us as a nation and you tell me Iam jumping down your throat without reading your artical. I did read your artical twice in fact just to be sure what you where presenting and at that time I thought maybe you made a mistake but now I know for sure you did not.
"any company that chose not to upgrade is a company we need not sympathize with."
"These proposals are for the benefit of the least well off citizens while they do not significantly harm other citizens."
Those two statements are a big problem. Your really not looking at this from the perspective of a new person at all, you looking at
"This will increase productivity in higher levels of both products"
I will say this again:
This is not a plan to help citizens this is a plan to help big business and will lead to the restriction of new citizens and there ability to take advantage of some basic game features in our nation and be able to succeed.
That's your opinion. Here's my opinion; you're wrong.
By the way, learn to spell.
By they way, learn to ignore a typo 😛
Anyone who doesn't know the difference between there, their, and they're should either not run for Congress or isn't old enough to know better (and as a result, shouldn't run for Congress).
Vote ProggyPop for D.C.; because he understands grammar.
WHAT A TERRIBLE IDEA PROGGY.
You wonder why I call you a commie. The QMG doesn't have a problem and once EVERYTHING is put into place you will see our service flourish. It's already improved under my command, and I don't think we need nationalized guns to fix anything, especially subsidized Q1s (since we don't want to use Q1s for anything but the National Guard).
BAD IDEA, PROGGY, BAD!
Other than that I still think you're one of my favorite commies.
You must be kidding Mr. Proggy. That is so insane I don't even know what to say.
Take off your IRL caps and put on your ER caps. Nationalized industries are not an insane idea. Nationalized Q1 guns would allow us to constantly arm troops. While I respect your work Kyle, the QM's office has ran into trouble during any extensive war and I see no reason why that would stop. It is more cost effective in the long run to have a stock of government made Q1's than to rely on the market (which will inflate tremendously once war breaks out).
Then again, y'all are placing ideology over the interests of the people. I do the reverse, which is why I only suggest nationalizing two sectors at 1 of the 5 Q's instead of everything. I'm neither a capitalist or a communist. I just take the best ideas from both worlds.
