The World War continues to rage on between the forces of ATLANTIS and PEACE. A War that started when Romania invaded Hungary has reached a fever pitch. It doesn't seem to be as simple as ATLANTIS vs PEACE though as I will explain in this article. No nation is completely unaffected by this War. One flip of a button and even our nation could find itself fighting for survival once again.

The European Theatre

Austria
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Croatia, France (Switzerland).

Austria is a small PEACE supporting nation. It is unknown if they have sent troops to support France or any of their allies for that matter. With a populace of 248 lower than our own it is likely they just don't have the soldiers to spare. Bordering nations that belong to PEACE or are neutral they may not be in any danger yet. Though bordering Swiss France could see this change if ATLANTIS forces march into this area.

Bulgaria
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Turkey (Greece), Romania

Bulgaria another nation smaller than us and member of PEACE. Bulgarian citizens must be feeling nervous with the Romanian Empire to the north in ATLANTIS and the Turkish Empire to the south not exactly being the most loyal to the PEACE Alliance after finishing absorbing Greece into the Empire a fellow member of PEACE. Not to mention the fact Romania and Turkey are not the best of friends themselves. Bulgaria maybe declared War upon just so one of these Empires can get a border with the other.

Croatia
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Slovenia, Hungary, Romania.

The recently added Croatia whose future residents we know well. Will not be involved in Wars till it is established. Though we are unsure will they stay neutral, Join PEACE meaning conflict with the Romanian Empire and possibly Slovenia or ATLANTIS meaning unfriendly relations with Hungary.

Czech Republic
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Sweden, Germany.

A country that has survived invasions by Hungary and Slovakia in the past. The Czech Republic is Alliance neutral with no MPPs. It's likely to be the most peaceful place in the world. Though their President is known to be disliked in certain sections. So that could lead to conflicts if he does not tread carefully.

Finland
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Norway and Sweden

Now all the Finnish regions have been freed in a exercise of War Games with Norway. The Finnish nation seems to be friendly towards ATLANTIS forces. They will most likely be more focussed on rebuilding Finland than getting involved in the World War. So Finland may well be the most peaceful place on earth now.

France
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Spain, Austria, Sweden, United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Italy, Germany.

France is currently being attacked by Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Canada and the USA. Which are using the French occupation of Switzerland as an excuse to invade. Despite the negotiations between the Swiss and French taking place. So ATLANTIS many feel is just showing PEACE it's muscles. Already losing regions the French are being carved up like a Christmas Goose between the ATLANTIS powers.

Germany
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: France, Sweden, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland.

An agreed Independence has been granted to Germany by Sweden. Thus like Finland the Germans are neutral but lean towards ATLANTIS. Though Germany will most likely be more focused on regaining it's old regions back via the agreement with Sweden than anything else right now.

Hungary
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia.

Still at war with Romania and reportedly in a deadlock in the peace talks. With Hungary and Romania unable to agree with Slovakian future and reparations to be paid to Romania for the war. Thus the conflict can erupt again at any moment. It's unlikely these countries will agree on peace and Hungary will become part of the Romanian Empire.

Ireland
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: The United Kingdom, Canada and the USA.

Ireland distrusts their ATLANTIS neighbours. Their President and Foreign Minister have called the Alliance a Blank Check that will only bring destruction of nations outside of it. So despite being surrounded by the ATLANTIS forces Ireland refuses to be bullied into supporting the Wars in France. Speaking out against it in fact. Romanians once performed a political takeover of Ireland and their allies offered little help.Ireland could end up being punished by ATLANTIS in the future.

Italy
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: France, Turkey (Greece), Austria, Slovenia, Spain

Currently at war with Spain and trying to protect France. Italy could be the next nation on ATLANTIS's hit list. It also owns a Swiss region. It borders a Slovenia that is neutral but leans towards ATLANTIS. Slovenia and Italy have a frosty relationship since before Slovenia was created they had political conflicts in Austria. With the rogue PEACE nation Turkey also bordering them Italy looks to be surrounded much like France has been.

Netherlands
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: The United Kingdom and Sweden.

Despite being surrounded by ATLANTIS they are safe. Why? Because they have nothing in the way of Raw Materials. That being said the Belgian populace of the United Kingdom whom merged with the UK may try persuade the Dutch to join them in the Union. Adding more workers to the UK economy.

Norway
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: Finland, Russia, Sweden, Romania (Ukraine), Pakistan (China), Japan, The USA, Poland, the United Kingdom.

The vast Norwegian Empire is being dismantled. Finland already free and Russia slowly being given back regions. Norway may in the future lose a lot of it's borders. So it may not get involved in the ATLANTIS-PEACE conflicts unless an ATLANTIS nation is attacked. The war that will soon take place in Asia between Iran and Pakistan may peak their interests.

Poland
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Romania (Ukraine), Slovakia, Sweden, Germany, Norway (Russia), Czech Republic.

Soon to be joining Finland in the 100% Independent club. Poland is a neutral nation leaning towards ATLANTIS. Though there are select individuals in Poland that want to get revenge on Germany. It is unlikely that War will break out while both countries have pressing domestic issues to address.

Portugal
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Spain, Venezuela, the USA, Brazil

At War with Spain and the USA. The Portuguese have lost Southeast Mexico to the Spanish. Their is a lingering fear that the Spanish will carve up Portugal with the USA. Much like France so that they eliminate the PEACE presence in Western Europe. (Bar of course the Netherlands).

Romania
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: Hungary, Bulgaria, Norway (Russia), Slovakia, Poland, Croatia.

The Romanian Empire own parts of Hungary and Slovakia along with all of Moldova (After the a Union Agreement) and Ukraine (After an Invasion). Known by most as the bad guys of ATLANTIS. Having groups of Romanians try political takeovers the world over. Still at War with Hungary and likely to complete that conquest. The Romanians will be wondering who to add to their Empire next.

Russia
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Norway, Pakistan (China).

After seeing off a Romanian Political Takeover by the same notorious group that took over Ireland once. The Russians are still working on getting independence of more regions from the Norwegian Empire. With their only other neighbour a now crippled Pakistan. It's not military invasion that should worry them but political invasions.

Slovakia
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland.

The country with only 1 region and 144 Citizens. Central Slovakia was released by Romania and might be given further regions depending on how the talks go in Hungary and the Romanian Empire. There was some conflicts with Czech Citizens but these have been sorted out.

Slovenia
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Italy, Croatia

Neutral but of the more pro-Atlantis side of the scale. After having their treasury stolen by a group of suspected Indonesians. Slovenia is in no position to go to war. Though with a loan they may end up joining an ATLANTIS invasion of Italy.

Spain
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: Portugal, Italy, France, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, the USA.

The Number 1 country in Erepublik. Though Spain is a mystery their new government is suspected to be Anti-War. Will the "Blank Check" of ATLANTIS see this attitude change? Spain is currently involved in Wars with Portugal in which it has taken South East Mexico from them, France where is has taken 3 regions from them, Venezuela, Brazil and Italy are also in a state of War with Spain. The key to the War is Spain's approach to it this month.

Sweden
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: Norway, Finland, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Czech Republic.

Joining the War with France to gain a region with high amounts of Wood. The Swedish are agreeing to release Germany and Poland. They are also in talks about freeing Denmark. The Swedish are not the power they once was but with ATLANTIS they are dividing up France into chunks. They only seem to go after things they need so the Netherlands can sleep well for now.

Turkey
Alliance: PEACE (Sort of)
Borders: Italy, Bulgaria, Iran

A member of PEACE but has partaken in invading PEACE members both Militarily (Greece) and supporting Chinese resistance wars in Pakistan. Turkey are a rouge nation that will invade anyone. Even their allies. So Bulgaria and Italy might be wary of them. Iran also may see Turkey as a threat. With Israel and Greece part of the Turkish Empire it is also rife with people wanting to rebel.

United Kingdom
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: Canada, the USA, France, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands and Ireland.

The United Kingdom of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Belgium and Lower-Normandy. Rolls off the tongue doesn't it? The UK are currently at war with France. As said earlier their neighbours in Ireland are unhappy about the UK's actions. So even more conflict could erupt in the British isles.

The North American Theatre

Canada
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: The USA, Ireland, France, the United Kingdom.

Invading France to get a slice of the pie. Canada will carve up France with it's allies. Ireland as I mentioned spoke out against ATLANTIS. So is a joint invasion of Ireland on the cards with the USA and UK?

Mexico
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Spain, the USA.

Recently joining PEACE. Mexico borders two ATLANTIS nations and is at War with Spain. Will Mexico be attacked by the USA-Spainish Alliance? Allying with PEACE could prove to be a costly move by Mexico.

USA
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: The United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Canada, Mexico.

At war with France and Portugal already taking a bite of France. The USA is powerful and could invade PEACE nations Japan and Mexico. As well as Ireland for their recent attitude towards their actions in France.

The South American Theatre

Argentina
Alliance: ATLANTIS
Borders: Brazil and Indonesia.

The Argentina forces in a bid to distract Indonesia tried to take Western Cape yesterday. They failed in doing so of course. Though the repercussions may be fatal. With Brazil and Indonesia poised to both attack them. Will ATLANTIS drop their invasion of France to help Argentina?

Brazil
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Venezuela, Argentina, Indonesia, Spain, Portugal.

At War with Argentina and Spain. Brazil re-ignited this World War it's it's declaration of War. Though they have yet to attack. If they do attack Argentina they can expect invasion from Spain. Thus that may well be what is stopping them from pulling the trigger.

Venezuela
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Spain, Brazil, Portugal.

At War with Spain they had a very brief battle but it was stopped by the admins. The fate of Venezuela depends on what Spain decides to do next. Picking PEACE over ATLANTIS when it was formed could prove a fatal mistake.

The Asian Theatre

China
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Pakistan

Freed by Iranian and Turkish forces. China is now ruled by them and may well be absorbed by Iran on it's march through Pakistan.

India
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Pakistan

Freed by Italians the Indian nation is now a puppet of Italy. Another country that might be absorbed by Iran on their march through Pakistan.

Indonesia
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Thailand, Australia.

Indonesia the ones that own our Cape are the power house of PEACE. Giving the Australians some Independence. (Reluctantly) They may take their forces to South America to answer Argentinia's assault on Western Cape. They might also be tempted to march into Thailand to get access to Pakistan. Whom where taken over by Iran politically. In order to get the resources as Pakistan is all but dead.

Iran
Alliance: PEACE (Sort of)
Borders: Pakistan, Turkey.

Taking over Pakistan politically Iran will now try and absorb it into Iran. Going against a PEACE nation in the process. So PEACE or ATLANTIS it doesn't matter to Iran. If you insult them you will be taught a "lesson" be it a political takeover or invasion.

Japan
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: South Korea, Norway (Russia), Pakistan (China), the USA.

A PEACE nation that borders the USA and Norway. Making it a potential target for ATLANTIS. When South Korea was released it was without Japanese consent but by Argentinian forces. So conflict is possible between these nations. Japan may also think about getting a slice of Chinese Pakistan that will just end up absorbed into Iran anyway.

Pakistan
Alliance: PEACE
Borders: Iran, South Korea, Russia, Norway, India, Thailand, Japan.

Pakistan is inactive and with Iran pulling a political takeover of Pakistan. It seems all but lost. It's more a case of who will take the most of it now. Unless the populace return to fight that is.

South Korea
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Japan, Pakistan.

Freed by Argentines. South Korea's future depends on the attitudes of Japan and the future owners of Chinese Pakistan.

Thailand
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Pakistan (India), Indonesia.

Thailand could end up a target for Indonesia as the gateway to the sand eating contest in Pakistan. Other than that Thailand seems to be safe.

The Oceanic and Africa Theatre

Australia
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Indonesia

Australia is currently freeing itself from Indonesia after an agreement. It will be focusing on rebuilding rather than supporting War efforts I imagine.

South Africa
Alliance: Neutral
Borders: Indonesia

It's us and we could be involved in a War with Indonesia should they attack Argentina. So heads up folks.
