Congress: Are you crazy?
Rockman 9
First comes a bill to a vote, to change the rates (ridiculous) for gifts for the same thing! And now, much worse: You want to reduce the fee citizen! Why are they doing this? We have to increase the fee citizen, making the economy turning. You are massacring the worker. The Congress is not a toy! You want to destroy the country?

i saw that gift one. The guy mr brodie just burnt one proposition he can make -.-"
Do we really need high citizen fees? There are plenty of companies offering work to entry level citizens, especially in the burgeoning resource industries.
It is important that the new citizen feel comfortable, buy a lot and get new friends.
You agree to the reduction of citizen fee?
I think the best way to make a new citizen feel comfortable is to ensure that there are jobs available for people joining the game. Once someone has a job everything else should fall into place. If you give someone too much money they won't see the importance of employment.
I think 15 THB is enough for someone to be able get some food and some gifts. It isn't enough for a house or a moving ticket but you shouldn't be expected to be able to get them straight away.
Basically I dont see too much difference between 15THB and 25THB, so I would never have proposed something like this, but once it's on the table it makes sense to relieve the stress it puts.
Oh, and I just wanted to say that wasting one of your congress proposals is just silly and shouldn't be happening.
I agree with Nemanja. I'd also point out that, while it's not a ton, this measure will save the government money, and given our commodity prices, it shouldn't have a real impact on immigration. In terms of buying power, 15 THB is substantially more than than I would get for joining in e.g., the US.
Also: is the hostile, insulting tone really necessary, Rockman?
Massacring, fascists.. Don't you think you're overreacting in your words? Try to stop insulting others, you're the President, let your friends do this. About the citizen fee, I agree with Nemanja. But a few days ago someone posted comparison between that month (September) and August. In August a new citizen could buy too many food, gifts and money still left. In September, a new citizen wasn't able to buy too many things, something like 15 Q1 foods and 10 Q1 gifts, less² than a new citizen from August could buy. But don't think that raising citizen fee you'll helping citizens A LOT. Like Nemanja Kutuzov sai😛 "The best way to make a new citizen feel comfortable is to ensure that there are jobs available for people joining the game."
I'm not Rock, but Ealb, you and your friends are using these terms everytime.
Anyhow, our new citizens needs money for a perfect adaptation.
With V1, the market is unstable, they need protection with extra money.
20 THB are perfect for me.
No we aren't Croms. The market is unstable because Rockman refuses to adopt a capitalist plan and insists on running it his way without telling anyone what hes doing.
Croms: um? When have I been calling TNT members crazy, or accusing them of playing with the eThai economy like a toy? I defy you to produce such a statement from me.
I also think that if we have citizen fees that are too high, people will want to hold out for jobs in the more supposedly lucrative sectors. What we need is for the high demand job areas (resources at the moment) to be the most attractive option for newcomers, and one way to do this is to not let newcomers get overly cushy, but make them feel needed by getting them employment. Also, I think employers should be encouraged to be of maximum support for newcoming workers.
I invited a friend for the game some time ago. As he started with 25 THB, and didn't know very well what to do with the money, bought a weapon that costs 20 THB. Just a high fee citizen don't help us. Mr.brodie not created as a topic of discussion, our congressmen have just split, but this is a very important debate.
Mr. Brodie passed the proposal then left the country 😑
I was baffled!
Rockman, mind your words!
The ammount between 15 and 20 THB should be fine, i guess! I am new at the game, but i could buy food with my starter money.
Explain something to me: The money that the new user start, come from the National Treasury?
New users get a set amount of cash from the government. Rockman seems to think that we need to bribe people to come here, which is true with the current administration.
NK pretty much said all that needed to be said here. It comes with the saying "give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a life time." We need people working and producing, espicially in the newer resource companies. If they do this they will earn THB and there will be items on the market for them to purchase. Self sustaining and something that much more lucrative nations across the eWorld do.
