Australians Insulted in the aftermath of the summit

Day 327, 05:06 Published in United Kingdom Australia by True Blue Holdings

Today has the potential to be a great day in the history between Australia and Indonesia. These nations came together to talk about the possibility of peace between the nations whilst Australia was on the road to independence. However once Zaney was named a coward the talks were always destined to fail.

Australia presented some very reasonable demands. We wanted Canberra and Brisbane and Perth. The first two for our population there and the final for the resources. We offered trade advantages to Indonesia.

However in the blind greed that seems to have grasped Indonesia they refused to allow Perth to become independent. They wanted access to South Africa as well as the resources.

Now any talks should start by stating the objectives of each side. This part worked well. However where these talks failed was the ability to negotiate. Australia offered alternatives to allow Indonesia to keep Perth. Australia offered military support, trade incentives and NAP's. However Indonesia would not move. They were to condemn us to the two least productive regions in the Australia. They believed that they "held all the cards." This was their first mistake.

They underestimated the support that Australia could gather and how this affai could impact the reputation of Indonesia. They also underestimated the alliance affilitation that was of course going to occur as soon as neutrality became out of the question.

It was about now that Zaney had to leave to go out to dinner. The talks were meant to be finished by now. So Zaney basically said that "Indonesia is blinded by greed. This is going to lead to war." He then had to leave, but not before he was called a "coward" by an apparently unbiased observer. This was the last straw.

Australia is not going to be bullied. The sooner the powers that be understand this the sooner we can move forward. Thanks to our excellent allies here in the UK and around the world we do not need to be bullied. Indonesia was blinded by greed and expected Australia to be a little insignificant stupid resistance movement. They were wrong. They bit off more than they can chew. They must be ready to suffer the consequences for not being willing to negotiate.

Its not how you treat your friends that counts. Its how you treat those that you seemingly have an advantage over. It will come back to bite you when the balance of power shifts.

I hope PEACE takes notice of how unwilling Indonesia was to negotiate and as a result how Australia could never commit to PEACE, not in a thousand years at this point.

Now for the last straw let me draw your attention to an [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-687966.html]article[/a] by a so-called "neutral observer"

He says that Australia destroyed the spirit of the talks. Basically he believes that Australia should not look out for their interests but Indonesia's. Trying to limit our allies is ridiculous. This is why we cannot live with Indonesia and this is why we welcome any support that the UK or the world will offer to give us back what is rightfully ours.
