Australians Insulted in the aftermath of the summit
True Blue Holdings
Today has the potential to be a great day in the history between Australia and Indonesia. These nations came together to talk about the possibility of peace between the nations whilst Australia was on the road to independence. However once Zaney was named a coward the talks were always destined to fail.
Australia presented some very reasonable demands. We wanted Canberra and Brisbane and Perth. The first two for our population there and the final for the resources. We offered trade advantages to Indonesia.
However in the blind greed that seems to have grasped Indonesia they refused to allow Perth to become independent. They wanted access to South Africa as well as the resources.
Now any talks should start by stating the objectives of each side. This part worked well. However where these talks failed was the ability to negotiate. Australia offered alternatives to allow Indonesia to keep Perth. Australia offered military support, trade incentives and NAP's. However Indonesia would not move. They were to condemn us to the two least productive regions in the Australia. They believed that they "held all the cards." This was their first mistake.
They underestimated the support that Australia could gather and how this affai could impact the reputation of Indonesia. They also underestimated the alliance affilitation that was of course going to occur as soon as neutrality became out of the question.
It was about now that Zaney had to leave to go out to dinner. The talks were meant to be finished by now. So Zaney basically said that "Indonesia is blinded by greed. This is going to lead to war." He then had to leave, but not before he was called a "coward" by an apparently unbiased observer. This was the last straw.
Australia is not going to be bullied. The sooner the powers that be understand this the sooner we can move forward. Thanks to our excellent allies here in the UK and around the world we do not need to be bullied. Indonesia was blinded by greed and expected Australia to be a little insignificant stupid resistance movement. They were wrong. They bit off more than they can chew. They must be ready to suffer the consequences for not being willing to negotiate.
Its not how you treat your friends that counts. Its how you treat those that you seemingly have an advantage over. It will come back to bite you when the balance of power shifts.
I hope PEACE takes notice of how unwilling Indonesia was to negotiate and as a result how Australia could never commit to PEACE, not in a thousand years at this point.
Now for the last straw let me draw your attention to an [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-687966.html]article[/a] by a so-called "neutral observer"
He says that Australia destroyed the spirit of the talks. Basically he believes that Australia should not look out for their interests but Indonesia's. Trying to limit our allies is ridiculous. This is why we cannot live with Indonesia and this is why we welcome any support that the UK or the world will offer to give us back what is rightfully ours.

Agreed... Indonesia really should be put back in its rightful place, be it with a handshake or a loaded gun to there head.
Edit - the Uk fought alongside you once, if it comes to it we will fight alongside you once again.
As Arafat said when he spoke to the UN:
\"Today I have come bearing an olive branch and a freedom-fighter\'s gun. Do not let the olive branch fall from my hand. I repeat: do not let the olive branch fall from my hand.\"
Dear Indonesians, do not tempt us in a war that you cannot win.
I still dont get how I am classed as a thug....in the Indonesian article...oh well
@Shadow
That quote is now stolen *pastes it onto my msn* =3.
You asked for Canberra, Brisbane and Perth.. We offered to give you Canberra and Brisbane TO BEGIN WITH !! Perth? That\'s a NO; you wrote the reasons above.
We will give you the rest of the regions in the future.. Why? Because we need our insurance.. And if we were relinquishing all the regions at once, the citizens of eIndonesia will not agree to it, you still have to fight lots of em..
Take the two regions and show us that you are a good ally, and then the people will soften.. Damn.. That\'s so basic..
You offer trade agreement? We also proposed a good one, a better one if i dare to say.. \"We will export the RM or any commodities you lack to your country with a fair price (slight diff than in our local market); and we will ensure that the trade agreement tax will not be too low so your market won\'t suffer from dumping and we can provide whatever you need to star over \"
Ah.. Greedy me?
I\'ve been convincing my fellow countrymen to give Australia her independence with as little as possible truss
With this, you shall fight with all your might, but we will never let you have your land back. You shall never have a place you call home; for you will always be a stranger in your own land.
It\'s not what we want, but this is what you have brought for yourself..
Pray and pray more, for you shall you need it for the rest of your journey..
I dont think the indonesians realise how many of us there really are on eRepublik despite our small RL population. Also, they do not realise the support and sympathy we have with others around the eGlobe.
This will not be just a small resistance war that will be quelled easily. No. Not at all. The Indonesians have dug their grave, it is now a matter of pushing them into it
Remind me...
Why did you even take these regions to begin with?
Did your trigger-finger get that bored...?
@shadowukcs
yes we did.....
@Tecchi, do you happen to know how many Indonesian players that are spread through the eWorld? Let see, we dug the graves; but surely it won;t be our bodies inside the caskets..
@Malcovent, to test the new feature of coz.. Did you forget it? Hmmm
@darkyojimbo
because they are the one who greed... they don\'t know what the meaning \"BEGIN WITH\".. ahaha lol (ngasah bambu runcing dolo)
>>Dear Indonesians, do not tempt us in a war that you cannot win.
Defenders bonus. Indonesia wins. Next. Thats ignorng the large amount of MPPs to the entirety of PEACE. Even if MPPs aren\'t activated like in a normal war, well, I can forsee PEACE armies appearing magically in Indonesia. Inonesia alone has nearly double the soldiers, and with a higher average strengh of more than 0.3 more.
You call this an insult to the Australian people. I call it politics; the poster above me mentioned that the eIndonesian people wouldn\'t agree to a complete, well, for lack of a better word, withdrawal. People want to be re-elected, they can\'t do that by doing massively unpopular moves. Theres also the fact thats its a little better to have few regions early on; less places to buy hospitals for, less to manage, etc. You seem to believe that it is your right to have all 6 regions, right off the bat; this is not true.
I can understand the reasons for keeping Perth; I don\'t particularly like them, but that is a good, strategic reason.
Now then, a solution:
- A deal that, over a period of a few months, would give all but one of the regions (They did pay a large amount of gold to invade in the first place, politically it\'d be suicide to lose everything) back to the Australians.
- Trade agreements to basically get the Aussie economy off it\'s feet.
- Less mud slinging; you\'re both equally wrong and right.
- MPP agreements with both Indonesia, and the UK. Security reasons.
tl;dr, you\'re all whining too much.
@Mal, it came for Arafats famous speech in 1974 (or 1973, don\'t know anymore) you should see it on youtube or something. Each time I hear it I get the shivers. Such a passionate speaker. He stepped up the big stage in front of every world leader (most of them wanting him dead) with his big sun glasses and his typical headscarf carrying a olive branch and clearly showing his (empty ofc) gun holster to the audience. Epic speech imo.
anyway, I think indonesia is seriously underestimating us.
I strongly suggest they take a good read on \"I\'l principe\" by N. Machiavelli: if a ruler has no control over the people, he will eventually lose his power.
I dont really care either way but just wanted to ask a question
darkyojimbo said that you invaded eaustralia to test the new featrues
In which case why are you finding it so hard to give it back? if that was your
only reason then why do you care so much?
Indonesia has made a big mistake, a really big mistake...
When words fail,
the gun will prevail!!!
The pen is mightier than the sword, friend. 😛
And UKCS pwns all, right? 😉
A people\'s desire for freedom and democracy on the other hand is even mightier then the sword and the pen combined.
>>And UKCS pwns all, right? 😉
Nah, I got b&. Trouble maker lo0ol.
I\'ll agree with that though, but I do feel that maybe people expect too much from the whole thing, if you see where I\'m coming from.
MPPs aren\'t activated by independence wars though, so that makes it even tougher for Indo.
@GF: haha banned? how on earth can you get banned there?
anyway: I think you are underestimating the number of Australians here in e-world. There are quite some out there, and all are ready to fight.
if you want your homeland back... just try to take it from us if you can of course maybe... i don;t, think so...!
and try to learn some political education... we offer you 2, why asking for more? huh....if you want all region... please... act and start doing something instead of writing junk artilcle and turn down the negotiation... pity.... all eIndonesian ready to face the war... were ready for all... for war.///
Fair enough, I wasn\'t sure how it worked, I\'ve not been following how V1 \'works\' too much, and what I do see, is pretty negative. There are plenty of PEACE countries who wont have a problem with independence in their own countries, so you can expect an influx of Iranians and Japanese for instance. I can see a squad or two of Pakis appearing there too if needed.
It would be hard to take more than one region, whereas they were offered two, basically right off, with more to follow.
>>how on earth can you get banned there?
Myself, Woogie, Flawless, Benji and Scottish Sniper Jnr got permied from servers and forums, for expressing an opninion that disagreed with the admins, essentially. New person comes along, floods the forum with crap, we get annoyed, warned, say the warning is a bit bs, and get banned. Was entertaining. My side of the story, anyway.
I also think you\'re all underestimating the Indonesians, although I\'ll admit, I\'m probably underestimating the Aussies too.
Also, I point you all towards this: http://www.erepublik.com/article-688109.html
Diplomacy is probably better long, and short term.
thx aussie, you just activated the wake up alarm for all eIndonesia inactive players, you\'re the one that underestimate us, you think we afraid of Atlantis? We have bite PANAM ass, i believe they still feel the pain.
Australia has the support of the United Kingdom, that is for sure.
Good luck Indonesians, you\'re in for one hell of a ride...
I\'m personally considering giving up my congress seat so that I can go and fight for this, because I\'ve never seen anybody ask so badly for a beating.
Just sit on your congressman chair Deilos, and watch how we kick their ass back to UK and USA.
\"\"@Malcovent, to test the new feature of coz.. Did you forget it? Hmmm\"
I remembered it was something lame like that, I narrowed it down to \"Because we can\" or the old \"We\'re just helping them\"
@Renago \"Just sit on your congressman chair Deilos, and watch how we kick their ass back to UK and USA.\"
Said the person whos never fought to the ex-Paratrooper...
Indonesia, your alliance is failing and Atlantis love the war experience...
Either way your screwed, warmonger all you want - But this war will never stop until bits of you are scattered across the battlefield.
Edit - If your yet to fight, stop getting patriotic over your own countries you cowards.
Double edit - Congratulations on 7 strength Gabriel.
Disgraceful.
I\'m going to enjoy setting off rebellions in their SA territories.
Heh, thanks Malc - both for defending me and for the congratulation. Renago, you\'re one to talk about staying out of the fight - I have 28 wins and 0 losses. You, on the other hand, appear to have nothing...
Australia only asked for 3 out of 6 regions. You offered us the 2 worst regions. Hence your greed. We offered to compromise. No-one saw fit to. We are not going to toot your horn to get our regions back.
Basically indo say if you do exactly what we say we might give you your worst regions back but never the good ones with decent resources.
Well...if i can continue getting supershots...then my strength will be up to par. I'm definately going back to fight (even if I lose every time) to kick some Indo butt 😛, now let's all "test the new Resistance War" module
