Australian Independence, Government in Exile interviewed

Day 317, 23:26 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by taytaz

The Indonesia-Australian war is probably an event known to many of you. In the term of President Yanezu of Indonesia, a letter sent by the Australian President was deemed to be impolite, prompting Indonesia to invade under the leadership of new President Isnuwardana.

Australia was not supported by any nations besides from the eUK, who sent Paratroopers in an attempt to repel the Indonesians, but the resistance proved unsuccessful and the entire Australian continent was taken. Most citizens fled, either to the eUK or to the eUSA, where a Government in Exile has been established, aiming to gain independence for Australia again.

Recently, the eUK Informer interviewed the leader of the Australian Government in Exile, Zaney, who is now thought to be living in the USA.

1. Is the Government in Exile active, who leads it and where is it based?
I lead the resistance with a council that votes on matters, all EAustralians have input on all decisions. The government is very active.

2. What is the Government in Exile currently doing, what steps are being taken towards Australian Independence?

Confidentiality at this critical time.

3. How helpful have the international community been in lobbying for Australian Independence?
3. Recently, the wave of interest in our situation has been very helpfull, both for moral and political sway.

4. Would you ever consider a "coup", as seen in South Africa, as a way to regain control, if not, what are your other options?
4. A coup would never work as Indonesia as a "forum" nation and will always have more citizens and organisation. Unless you mean coup of another nation, which we are all very utterly against.

5. Was Indonesia"s invasion justified
5. From a neutral perspective: yes. From a humanistic perspective: no. The reason for invasion was simply to test the war function and give their citizens something to do.

6. How helpful were the International Community in repelling the Indonesians
6. The UK sent one paratrooper division. The rest of the EWorld were busy fighting their own wars or had no interest in EAustralia.

7. Are the Indonesians ruling Australia satisfactorily
7. The Indonesians are a capable bunch, Australia is being handled sufficiently, but that doesn"t mean they are the "correct" rulers of EAustralia, the cultural differences between us make it utterly impossible for Australians to enjoy this game under a territory controlled by EIndonesia.

It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out, and to see how the new military devices implemented in v1 will affect the International Communities reaction to Indonesia’s invasion after a while down the track.
