Australian Independence, Government in Exile interviewed
taytaz
The Indonesia-Australian war is probably an event known to many of you. In the term of President Yanezu of Indonesia, a letter sent by the Australian President was deemed to be impolite, prompting Indonesia to invade under the leadership of new President Isnuwardana.
Australia was not supported by any nations besides from the eUK, who sent Paratroopers in an attempt to repel the Indonesians, but the resistance proved unsuccessful and the entire Australian continent was taken. Most citizens fled, either to the eUK or to the eUSA, where a Government in Exile has been established, aiming to gain independence for Australia again.
Recently, the eUK Informer interviewed the leader of the Australian Government in Exile, Zaney, who is now thought to be living in the USA.
1. Is the Government in Exile active, who leads it and where is it based?
I lead the resistance with a council that votes on matters, all EAustralians have input on all decisions. The government is very active.
2. What is the Government in Exile currently doing, what steps are being taken towards Australian Independence?
Confidentiality at this critical time.
3. How helpful have the international community been in lobbying for Australian Independence?
3. Recently, the wave of interest in our situation has been very helpfull, both for moral and political sway.
4. Would you ever consider a "coup", as seen in South Africa, as a way to regain control, if not, what are your other options?
4. A coup would never work as Indonesia as a "forum" nation and will always have more citizens and organisation. Unless you mean coup of another nation, which we are all very utterly against.
5. Was Indonesia"s invasion justified
5. From a neutral perspective: yes. From a humanistic perspective: no. The reason for invasion was simply to test the war function and give their citizens something to do.
6. How helpful were the International Community in repelling the Indonesians
6. The UK sent one paratrooper division. The rest of the EWorld were busy fighting their own wars or had no interest in EAustralia.
7. Are the Indonesians ruling Australia satisfactorily
7. The Indonesians are a capable bunch, Australia is being handled sufficiently, but that doesn"t mean they are the "correct" rulers of EAustralia, the cultural differences between us make it utterly impossible for Australians to enjoy this game under a territory controlled by EIndonesia.
It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out, and to see how the new military devices implemented in v1 will affect the International Communities reaction to Indonesia’s invasion after a while down the track.

Voted, thanks.
Good article, I\'m a bit surprised we only sent 1 paratrooper division. I doubt that would be the case this time though.. 😉
There was unstablity on our borders with the USA-Canada war at the time. We couldn\'t risk sending our all elite forces unfortunately at the time due to this. (Though we might of done. I can\'t actually remember well. Could of been the Belgian \"War\" that was taking place or something...)
That\'s fair enough 🙂
\"the cultural differences between us make it utterly impossible for Australians to enjoy this game under a territory controlled by EIndonesia.\"
I agree. It\'s nigh impossible to enjoy the game here in Indo-Australia. I\'m staying though as it\'s silly to run away so close to V1 and Fight for Freedom. I\'ll be giving my all to the fight alongside my fellow countrymen.
I\'m quite certain that more than one paratrooper division was sent, purely because I know people who were in a different platoon to me that deployed, and I remember that I tried to deploy as well. However, most of the paras were unable to deploy due to a bug which meant the moving page took so long to load that most people didn\'t get a chance in the time they were on the computer.
If i remember correctly we tried to send all the paras but were hit with two bugs. The paras weren\'t able to move to Australia because of a moving bug and the defence bonus had removed/ bugged so we had to fight with no bonus.
It was a shame as although we would of been lucky to win i think we would of stood a chance if it wasn\'t for the bugs.
You two are right I forgot about the moving bug. Though it is true only one division was invested originally. More support was intended to be sent but the bug stopped them.
UK won\'t want to risk all, some of the reason are also because UK and Indonesia used to be major trading partner and had better relationship.
Atleast EUK sent forces, proving an allie unlike other countries. I think a rebellion supported by the international community is best for Australia. As it is almost impossible to find a newspapper written in English and jobs are hard to get!
We sent all our troops I think, I\'m almost 100% certain that we did so.
\"I\'m a bit surprised we only sent 1 paratrooper division.\"
A division consists of about 10,000 men: so I\'m also a bit surprised to hear this!
... and another reason is because UK still had to defend their own country from a much closer threat.
How many times, Isnuwardana? The UK tried to send all its troops but there was a bug: no second thoughts because of the home front, no double deals, a bug.
i think you may blame admin also , because we only can fight or war with our neighbor region. So at that time, only there was two option , thailand or aussie.
\"So at that time, only there was two option , thailand or aussie.\"
Dont forget the third option.. dont fight at all.... >.>
